Kiefers pov
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes. It was a beautiful morning.
As soon as i got out of bed, i walked to the bathroom. I had a quick cold shower and brushed my teeth.
On my way downstairs for breakfast. I saw Kiegan. He was in hi room talking to himself. I knocked but he didn't hear me.
It reminded me of the incident in the hospital. I decided it was best to leave him alone for now. He will come down when he is ready.
Sitting at the table I couldn't help but think of Kiegan, how could i help him, how can i make him feel protected. I didn't know but i needed to figure it out, and fast.
After breakfast with Kieren. I told him i would be going out today and that i could if he wanted me to drop him to his friends house.
I can't risk leaving him in the house with Kiegan without me around. Not that i didn't trust Kiegan, i just don't want history repeating itself.
I walked out and sat in a different car today. Yesterday i used the black jeep. Today felt like a white lambo day.
I got in and drove off. I knew where i needed to go. I first went to the florist and got a buqet of roses. 200 exactly. I knew who this was for.
I drove to jay's house and knocked on the door. I didn't plan on giving it to her myself. And i was certain she wouldn't open the door.
It was seven am on a Sunday morning. She is still probably sleeping dreaming of ice cream.
One of their maids opened the door. I handed her the flower tell her to give them to Jay once she wakes up. I told her not to tell her it was from me. Just to tell her that they were left on the doorstep with instructions to give it to her.
She nodded in understandment. I thanked her before i walked to my car. Next i drove towards Hanamitchi Hotel. I was early for the meeting we had planed, so i sat in my car.
After thirty minutes of waiting. We had five minutes till the meeting. I got out and locked the car.
While walking towards the elevator, i was stared at by many guests. Giving them no attention I walked past and got in the elevator.
I didn't need registration because i was already in the system. I pressed the top button. The number of Yuri's floor. The elevator jolted to life.
As i was on my way up the elevator stopped on floor number twenty. I was confused because this was the private elevator and Yuri lived on the topmost floor which was fifty.
When the door opend i was shocked to see Angelo standing there wait for the elevator. He looked up and noticed me but gave mo reaction. Just got in and stoop patiently waiting.
"Angelo…can i talk to you about something after this" i asked.
"Yes, but make it quick." He said
Before i could say anything the doors opened revealing Yuri's apartment. This was his alone. His parents had a different one in the other building.
I walked in along with Angelo and we made our way towards the home office.
Inside there were four chairs laid out neetly in a circle.
In the middle was a table. On ti were files and reports. A mug of coffee for each of us, me, Angelo, Yuri, and Mr Hanamitchi.
We sat down and Mr Hanamitchi started the conversation.
"Morning. Angelo, Kiefer." He said.
"I think all of us know why we are here today. I won't speak any longer because i have nothing to say. Yuri will be talking." He said.
I kept a calm face enen though inside i knew i was going to explode. I knew what he will talk about.
I kept my cool and listened to what he had to say.
"Angelo, Kiefer, I won't make this long. I love jay even though the engagement is off i will convince her. I just need approval from atleast Angelo. I know Kiefer will be hard to convince or maybe never be convinced, but Angelo you ate her leagal guardian. If you say yes Kiefer can't stop me." He said.
"Yuri no matter how hard you try. I don't really care about who jay ends up with, you or Kiefer. The only thing that matters to me is that she is ok with the relationship, that i know she is safe, that i know she is loved and she love the person the same." Angelo replied with a calm tone but threat still present in his voice.
"Angelo, my son is really caring and he will take care of your cousin he will make sure she is protected-" Mr Hanamitchi said.
"How can he, when all the time she needed help i was there. When her ex attacked her, Yuri being her fiance stood there. When she cut her finger, saw blood, needed me, asked for me, Yuri didn't call me." I said.
"How can i trust her with the woman i live when he cheated on her with the girl he used." I added. Not able to control myself.
"KIEFER" Yuri shouted.
"Your son can't even control his anger towards his best friend." Angelo added.
"He is not my best friend anymore, now he is my enemy. Once, twice I handled him taking the girl i love but not thrice. Jay will be mine" Yuri said. Voice filled with anger and threat.
I scoffed and said "You can try, try as hard as you want. She alredy said yes to me. I just need Angelo's permission." I looked towards Angelo and he didn't looked surprised or shocked. Just nodded at me like everything was fine.
Mr Hanamitchi spoke. "I'm sorry Angelo. But my son deserves you cousin more than him. If you want you can say no but, all investors from the Hanamitchi clan will pull out from Fer Corp."
"I don't care. My sisters happiness comes first money after." Angelo replied. Voice firm.
"Mr Hanamitchi you are also forgetting that once my investors pull out from your business it will falter. I am alredy investing in Fer Corp, your investors pulling out will do nothing. But mine pulling out of yours along with Fer Corps will be bad for you. I suggest you think before threatening people." I said.
I looked at Angelo. Asking only with eyes. Lets leave, i am done here.
He nodded. We left without another word.
Once in the parking, i asked Angelo the question i was waiting to ask for a long time.
"Angelo, i asked jay, she said yes, but…only if you agree with it. You say no it is a no. You say yes it is a yes." I said.
"Kiefer it is a yes from me…as long as you don't hurt her. She comes home hurt even a little. You will need to start counting your days." He said. His voice threatening.
I nodded. "Never in a billion years will i ever hurt her. I love her. I will protect her. Care for her. Make sure she is happy."
He patted me on the back and walked to his car.
I got in mine, started the engine, and drove off.
When I returned home it was already lunch time.
