Jay's pov
By the time he droped me home is was already eleven thirty.
I immediately changed and went to sleep. Kuya said we had to go for lunch with some people tomorrow.
I didn't know who fhey were but he told me Kiefer would be there.
(In the morning)
I woke up the the warmth of the sun rays, to the birds chirping sweetly, to the softness of my bed.
The time was eight fifteen. I woke up not early but not late. I brushed my teeth and went down for breakfast.
Kuya was at the table reading something on his ipad. Aries was on the phone with someone. Ella most probably. Tito Jules was on the sofa reading his newspaper. Tita Gemma was in the kitchen with mumma.
I sat at the table and started talking to Aries. He put his phone away because tita Gemma told him to.
Everyone sat down on the table and ate breakfast.
"Jay, you remember right that we have lunch with someone" Kuya asked
"Yes kuya" i replied
"Aires you're coming with us"kuya said
"But i don't want to" Aries whined
Kuya gave him a death glare and said in a very serious tone "You're coming with us and that's the final decision"
Aries didn't say anything after that.
After breakfast i went back to my room and started to get ready.
I wore a simple dress, beige, not short but not long, not tight but not loose, it was perfect.
I put my hair up in a claw clip.
By the time I finished if was almost nine forty five.
We still had alot of time, so i sat at my desk and started to review. Our finals were on Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday was holiday, and so was Friday. Wednesday and Thursday we would have out tests.
And by we i mean the school. I reviewed for a long time. I didn't realise how fast the time pased.
I heard a knock on the door, then none other than the Horescope peeked through.
"Come downstairs, we're about to leave" he said and left. Didn't even let me reply.
So rude!
I closed my books but left them there. If I didn't go down fast, kuya would get mad.
I grabbed my phone and walked out my room, and downstairs.
Kuya was at the door with Aries. He looked up and saw me.
"You look so cute Jay" he said
I was surprised. I expected him to shout at me. Guess i was wrong.
"Thank you kuya. You look good as well" i replied.
Aries rolled his eyes. Kuya noticed but didn't say anything.
I knew Aries was going to die after we came back.
"Let's go before we get late" Aries said
Kuya nodded and we all walked out.
Kuya sat in the driver seat, Aries called shotgun and sat in the passenger seat, so i sat in the back. I didn't even want to sit in front.
I don't like sitting in front with kuya. It scares me.
Kuya started the engine and we drove off.
(20 minutes later)
The drive was about twenty minutes long.
When we reach, kuya parked and we got out.
As we walked into the restaurant, people stopped and turned to look at us.
Everyone was whispering.
"That's the CEO of Fernandez Corporation"
"He's here with his cousins"
"He looks terrifying"
"He is"
When we walked in, the restaurant was dimly lit.
The reception desk was a large counter, three computers resting on the table while the counter rose around them.
We walked towards the receptionist.
"Table for three?" The receptionist asked looking at us.
"We actually have a reservation" kuya replied
"Name" she said
"It should be under Fernandez. If not try Watson or Hanamitchi" kuya said
I froze at the sound of his last name.
Yuri was coming. I was confused. The engagement was called off. Why were we here. Maybe company issues, but why would they need me for that.
"Found it. Please follow me sir" the receptionist said and lead us to the back of the restaurant.
The table was in a corner. Small, private.
There was someone standing by it. Kiefer. Kuya told me he would be here. I was happy when i saw him.
Kiefer shook kuya's hand, patted Aries on the back and pulled him into a one arm hug.
Then he finally turned to me. He looked at me, stunned. I was confused.
"What? Why ate you staring at me? Do i have something on my face?" I said feeling around my face.
"No, you just look beautiful." He replied.
He hugged me and kissed my forehead. I smiled up at him.
"Ok you two stop i don't need to see this" kiya said.
"Yeah, i agree with kuya. Too mucb pda" Aries added.
"Shut up Aries" i said
Kiefer just laughed.
The table was round. I sat beside Kiefer. Kuya on my other side, Aries beside him.
We didn't order. We were waiting for someone. And now i knew who it was. Yuri. I didn't want to see him.
We waited for about ten minutes before Yuri walked in, his father beside him. The saw us and walked towards the table.
Yuri sat across from me. Glaring at Kiefer beside me.
Kiefer hand found mine under the table. I looked at him. I squeezed his hand and said. "Thank you" and smiled
"Always" he replied.
I could feel Yuri's angry gaze on us, but I didn't care. Yuri was nothing but a friend. But Kiefer was my everything.
We ordered the food. Yuri's father and kuya Angelo were talking.
Yuri was staring at us, me and Kiefer. Aries was glaring at Yuri.
I was talking to Kiefer normally. Like no one was there. Aries also joined in on the conversation at times. But then went back to glaring at Yuri.
After some time Mr Hanamitchi spoke.
"So Angelo, let's continue our conversation" he said
"There is nothing to continue except for Jay's opinion." Kuya replied
He looked at me and said. "Jay it is completely up to you if you want to answer this. But to solve the problems with the engagement we need your opinion"
I nodded
"Jay" Yuri said.
I looked towards him.
"I need to know…if you ate really choosing Kiefer and if you ate sure you want the engagement cancelled" he said
"Yes. I am choosing Kiefer and u want the engagement cancelled" i said without hesitation.
Kiefer squeezed my hand underneath the table. Nit to hard. Just enough to say something that cannot be said.
"So there you go. She choose Kiefer. Now this is over. You can do what you want with the partnership i don't care. My sisters happiness cones first" kuya said.
I looked at him. Happy. He said i mattered.
"Okay, it was nice talking to you" Yuri's father said.
We got up to leave. Kiefers hand in mine. Kuya and Aries walked in front, me and Kiefer followed behind them.
Just as we were about to walk out the door i heard a voice from behind, Yuri's.
"Wait" be said. We turned to look at him.
"What?" Aries asked annoyed.
Yuri looked directly at Kiefer then said. "You always win. But this time i won't let you. Watch your back Mark Kiefer Watson. I will get what's mine" he looked at me.
Kiefer stood in front of me. His hand still in mine. His grip tightened.
"Do what you want. But if Jay gets hurt. I will make sure you get what you deserve, not what tou want." Kiefer said. Anger in his voice. Threat in his tone.
He turned. And pulled my out of the restaurant. Kuya and Aries followed.
"Angelo, can i take her to my house for tonight?" Kiefer asked kuya
Kuya just nodded. "I an allowing this. But if she gets hurt. I wont leave you alive" kuya said.
Kiefer nodded. He looked at me and said. "Home?"
I nodded "Home"
