During class all I could think about was what Ren said, what did he mean date? And he's shamelessly sitting next to me too. Actually I sat next to him first but still, he didn't even get embarrassed.
At this point I couldn't even look at him anymore, Emma probably thinks we're both gay for each other now. Good thing Melissa didn't see, she would have killed us both from the second hand embarrassment.
While Ms.Longbern continued the lecture, I couldn't help but notice the crumb near his mouth. I tried to gesture to him that it was there but he just ignored me, then I tried removing it myself but…

She gently moved Ren's head towards her and wiped it off with her finger.
I was dumbfounded, since when did they get so close?
Right after class I went straight back to training. After all, I was about to reach D rank.

Despite it being summer, it rained the whole day. The floor was drenched everywhere including inside of some buildings. Wind blew so hard that a stray cat got hurt by being blown to a random building.
I immediately ran toward it to help the black cat, but it was already almost dead. It looked at me one last time with similar deep blue ocean-like eyes…and died.
It must have been really weak than, the cat also strangely reminded me of Ren. I hurriedly buried the black cat and then I suddenly felt an ominous feeling in my gut.
"It's probably nothing…"
I said while mindlessly continuing to walk to the cafe me and Ren were supposed to meet up at.

When I arrived at the cafe, Ren was already sitting with a leg on top of the other at a corner table in the back drinking something. He looked peaceful and undisturbed in his casual clothes. He wore a black hoodie and long shorts which barely revealed a part of his thigh.
"Hey, took you long enough to get here"
"You know what it's like outside right now right? Look at how wet I am, not to mention you too, your feet look soggy."
Ren slightly looks away and counters.
"Well your not any better, I bet everyone can see your pecs and abs through your white shirt."
I looked down only to notice he was telling the truth.
"…Oops, all my jackets are being washed right now so I don't have any to wear."
"Fucking idiot. Anyways, let's get down to business."
I finally sat down and ordered a simple latte.
I decided that I would ask him everything I was wondering about right now and grounded my resolve. Bringing out a device, I use it to block all sounds coming out of the area we were talking in and he finally speaks.
"So what do you know about the infiltration plan the Monolith has?"
I look at the floating blue screen right beside me, careful not to look suspicious and answer
"They plan to directly put portals in the arena during the Battle Royale."
"Then we either stop them before hand or during the installing."
Ren pondered for ten whole minutes before speaking again
"We should just stop them during the Battle Royale, if we can't get into the arena before hand it's no use. The security on the arena is just as tight if not tighter than usual security at Lock."
I didn't think twice and agreed with him
"Yeah, your right. I also have the general location of where they will set up the portal too, I'll send you the coordinates in a bit."
"Alr-"
Something rang very softly, but still loud enough to interrupt Ren.
"Sorry, I have to go pick up my sister. I'll see you then, bye."
A weird feeling rose up into my chest as I spoke
"Wait! …Can I come with you? I don't have anything to do and I still have some questions to ask you."
