AREA: AKIBARA RUIN
"Cool, right?" Ken smiles.
Ken is a part of the BCC — Bureau of Contagion Control. I've known him since childhood. He's still kind of cocky, though.
"Thanks for the gift. Still don't know why you're giving me this."
Raikun looks at Ken suspiciously, as if he's hiding something.
"Is there a catch, Ken?" Raikun's eyes darken as he stares at him.
"Nah, not really." Ken laughs, coming closer as he wraps his left arm around Raikun's shoulder.
Raikun's body reacts before he can say anything, and he cautiously steps back in an instant.
"Wow, Rai. That's rude," Ken says, stepping back.
"Yeah… there's a catch. Only if you're willing to do it." Ken's voice drops into a low, raspy tone.
"For the gun, at least. It could save your life… and you owe someone, Rai."
Rai's eyes widen.
"Shut the fuck up."
He goes completely still, his jaw tightening.
Ken steps back.
"Sorry, sorry. My bad," he says with a chuckle.
Raikun fixes his composure.
"What's the catch anyway?" he asks coldly.
Ken sighs, then speaks.
"Odaiba Beach."
The word alone is enough.
Screams. Salt. Blood.
Raikun's breath catches in his throat, and his hands grow cold. The beach… the blood filled the void in his mind. The room blurred at the edges.
He swallowed hard, stuck in the moment, his eyes never blinking.
"You expect me to go? Are you actually fucking with me?" Rai snarls.
"Chill. I'm not playing around, Rai. I actually want you to go," Ken says as his smile fades.
"Look, I know it's hard… but it's getting worse out there. And you're one of the few people who can possibly be of help."
"The supply you have, useful," Ken exhales through his nose.
