Chapter 30 - The Nara Clan’s Prudence — Binding the Uchiha Through Interests

"Your father is right!"

Uchiha Mixin nodded.

"Even one-quarter of the full effect is already more than enough. People will fight to buy it!"

"You should be grateful you have your little brother. Where else would you find someone like him?"

"…Yes, yes."

Uchiha Hao replied helplessly.

Could he refuse such a brother?

…Nope.

Because—

Sora gave too much.

Supply Chain Problem

Mixin then turned to Uchiha Sora.

"If we're opening a pharmacy, relying on retail shops for ingredients won't work."

"Their supply is too limited."

"We need stable, large-scale suppliers. What do you think?"

"Agreed."

Sora nodded.

"This will have to be handled by you and Father."

"Find multiple suppliers."

"Also—"

"I suggest including the Nara Clan."

Why the Nara Clan?

Senichi raised an eyebrow.

"Why specifically them?"

"You've got another plan, don't you?"

Sora smiled slightly.

"This is about gaining allies for the Uchiha Clan."

"A direct alliance isn't realistic."

"But business cooperation?"

"That's step one."

"Bind interests first."

"Then deepen cooperation."

"Eventually—true alliance."

He added calmly:

"You haven't forgotten our situation… right?"

"The Uchiha are isolated."

"This is a perfect opportunity."

"The Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka clans—the Ino–Shika–Chō alliance—"

"They hold significant influence in Konoha."

"And the Nara Clan represents their brains."

"Winning them over only benefits us."

Senichi's eyes lit up.

"Smart."

"Very smart."

Then he added:

"But this must be done by you."

"I'll go with you—but just as support."

"If I go alone… it might fail."

Hao frowned.

"Why? Aren't they smart people?"

"Exactly because they're smart."

Senichi glared at him.

"The Nara Clan prioritizes self-preservation."

"They avoid risks."

"They've always supported the Hokage faction."

"Whoever becomes Hokage—they follow."

"And what about us?"

"The Uchiha are being suppressed by Konoha's higher-ups."

"You think they don't know that?"

"So why would they risk getting involved with us?"

He pointed at Sora.

"But him?"

"He's Tsunade's disciple."

"And effectively the Third Hokage's grand-disciple."

"That gives him legitimacy."

"That gives him a chance."

Hao: "..."

"…Fine."

He scratched his head.

"Scheming is too exhausting."

"I'm out. Akiko is waiting for me."

He ran off immediately.

"Idiot!"

Senichi muttered.

The Plan Moves Forward

"Alright."

Sora nodded.

"I'll go with you."

"Tomorrow morning."

At the Nara Residence

The next day—

At the home of Nara Shikaku's father, Nara Shikayama—

They were warmly received.

After some probing—

Shikayama smiled.

"I've heard of you."

"Tsunade-sama's genius disciple."

"They say you mastered her medical techniques in just a few months."

"Impressive."

Then—

"What brings you here today?"

Inside, he sighed.

Please don't be trouble…

The Nara Clan hated trouble.

Sora's Proposal

Sora spoke directly:

"I've learned some things from my teacher."

"And developed several effective medicines."

"I plan to open a pharmacy."

"And I've already secured large internal orders from the clan."

"So—"

"I need a stable supply of medicinal materials."

"I came to seek cooperation."

"Long-term supply agreements."

"Prices are negotiable."

Then—

He added quietly:

"We're also working with multiple suppliers."

Meaning:

👉 Accept → join the network

👉 Refuse → be excluded later

The Nara Decision

Shikayama paused.

Surprised.

Just business?

If so—

✔ Doesn't offend the Hokage faction

✔ Doesn't anger the Uchiha

✔ Makes money

Perfect.

He smiled.

"Of course."

"The Nara Clan does open business."

"We don't refuse fair trade."

"This cooperation—"

"I accept."

"Provide the list."

"What materials do you need?"

"And in what quantity?"

Shikayama's Thoughts

Internally, however—

He was analyzing Sora.

"This child…"

"Not simple."
