"Hahaha"
He laughed after hearing me.As if I had made a Joke.
"Yes, You are the one who has done everything in my life, for me,Good or bad."
Cheng's lips curled into that infuriating smirk again, his free hand brushed a tear from my cheek. I jerked back, but he caught my chin, thumb pressing into the hinge of my jaw.
"But,I m the only one who has the right to give you karma"
I wrenched my chin away, my hand still locked around his collar, fingers shaking from the effort.
"What karma?"
I asked.
The silence between us felt alive—charged, dangerous. His penthouse stretched around us, the faint buzz of an air conditioning unit the only other sound in the room besides our breathing.
"You destroyed my life," and you talk about karma?"
I said again, quieter this time. My voice sounded hollow, like I've been shouting for hours.
Cheng leaned back against the sofa, casual despite the fact that I'm still gripping him. His fingers brushed his own tie, straightening it unnecessarily.
"you deserved it"
Mo Cheng said while looking me in the eye. While he was expressionless, I could see hatred and pain burning in his eyes.
Blood rushed to my ears as his words hit me. The past year played in my mind like a movie—every dinner party, every late-night conversation, every whispered promise.
My hand tightened involuntarily around his collar, feeling the crisp cotton of his shirt wrinkle beneath my grip.
Cheng's gaze never wavered from mine, his expression turning darker.
"What...what do you mean by that?"
I asked,confused.
His free hand crushed my collar tightlly, throwing me on his sofa, with my back touching the soft fabric.
Pressing me against the sofa, he got on the top of me, glaring at me.
