"I am heading to the main palace, Adeline. I need to meet with my father and check if there are any urgent matters that require my attention," Gideon said, retrieving his wallet from the side cabinet.
"Wait, your collar is messed up." Adeline stepped in close, reaching up to down the folded fabric of his shirt. Resting her hands against his shoulders, she looked up at him and added, "You really should thank Prince Ensley for warning you about Janessa's plans."
"Hmm. I will," Gideon murmured, looking down at her. "Do you want to come along to the palace?"
"No, I should stay behind. I want to change out some of the decorations around the house today," Adeline replied, offering a small smile. "But let's go out somewhere together this evening."
"Alright." Gideon leaned down, pressing a firm kiss to her lips before turning around and heading out.
Adeline picked up her phone and dialed a number she never expected to call again—the personal line of the Alpha of her former pack.
