"Micah, can you do me a favor and run a background check on someone?" Tiger asked, looking over from the passenger seat.
Micah kept his eyes on the road ahead, steering the vehicle down the winding residence drive. "A background check? On who?"
"A woman," Tiger replied, staring out the window. "Last night, I ended up saving her from a group of thugs. She was terrified. Her name is Lily, and she begged me to let her crash at my place because she had nowhere else to go. I agreed to let her stay for one night, but now she's practically begging to stay permanently as a housemaid. The whole thing feels off."
Micah glanced at him briefly, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. "Do you think she's a spy?"
"Maybe," Tiger said. "A coincidence like this has never happened to me before. We can't afford to take any chances right now."
