Adeline pulled away first, her hands pressing firmly against his chest to create some distance.
"Does the prince only think of kissing me? My lips actually hurt now," she complained, briefly touching her fingers to them.
"Then, what about here?" Gideon asked softly. He pressed a gentle kiss against her neck, then inched upward, leaving another one in its wake.
He peppered light kisses down the sensitive path of her neck before effortlessly lifting her up into his arms. A second later, he carried her through the doorway and into the bedchamber.
Adeline found herself settling onto the mattress, but as she tilted her head back, her eyes caught the view through the entrance.
"The door... It's still open," she whispered anxiously.
Gideon pulled back slightly, his fingers reaching up to cup her chin and gently tilt her face up to meet his gaze.
"No one will come in," Gideon reassured her in his deep voice. "Tell me, where should we go?"
