At midnight, Gideon and Tiger met at Gideon's private residence.
"How long has the Alpha Prince been waiting for me?" Tiger asked, setting a heavy leather duffle bag onto the hardwood floor before dropping into a sofa chair.
"About an hour," Gideon answered, leaning back against his desk.
"Do you remember Edmund?" Tiger asked, looking directly at him.
Gideon furrowed his brows, searching his memory before shaking his head. "No. Is he the one involved in Zason's murder?"
"Yes," Tiger confirmed, leaning forward. "Edmund used to attend our college. He is a hybrid—his mother was a witch and his father was a werewolf. Back then, he was constantly singled out and bullied because of his mixed blood. He wasn't the only hybrid on campus, but for some reason, the others made him their main target."
"I remember now. That timid boy who came to me asking for help," Gideon replied, his voice darkening as the memory clicked into place.
"Yes. And you refused him," Tiger stated.
