Noir stared at his device, smiling ear to ear, his eyes fixed on the screen as if nothing else mattered.
"Seriously, what happened??"
Adrien inquired, a slight confusion resting on his face.
"See for yourself, mate," Noir said, turning the screen towards him with visible excitement.
Elara: hello
Noir: heyyyyy
Elara: HIIIII, WE CAN BE WITH EACH OTHER
FINALLY😭😭😭😭
Elara: my parents agreed with me when i
told them i want to change the faculty
Elara: i told them i want to study in
friedrich-schiller-gymnasium and they said
yes to it as well!
Noir: WAIT REALLY? I CANT WAIT JUST
COME HERE ALREADY 😭
Elara: i will soon wait a little more, i will be
moving in with fumiko
Noir: okay, let me know if anything
bothersome happens, i will come pick you
up when you land
Elara: okay bye love see you!
Noir: bye elara, take care!
"So she's coming here," Adrien said, his face turning straight, "now I get it why you were smiling like that."
"Let's throw a banquet," Liesel said, poking him with her finger, "after this he won't be a sad rug all the time now."
"Still making fun of me," Noir said, confronting Liesel playfully, "let me be happy for once will ya?"
"But who's Fumiko, Noir?"
Adrien asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Oh Fumi, she's Elara's sister," Noir replied casually, "she's one elegant kid as well, we are even good friends."
"You befriended her," Liesel said, raising a brow, "so she takes your side when you fight with your partner?"
"Talk about evil."
Adrien added, smirking lightly.
"Enough jokes, you two."
Noir said in a laid-back manner.
Afternoon settled in quietly.
Beginning of evening, a disturbing ripple spread across the sky, something that couldn't be described through mere words, hollow yet full, unseen yet unavoidable.
"Did you guys feel that...?" Liesel said, her voice lowering slightly, "what's going on..?"
"Something's wrong," Adrien said, looking up at the sky with a tense expression, "the change in atmosphere, dry winds, heavy air..."
"Noir?"
Adrien called out, a hint of concern slipping in.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing..."
Noir muttered, his voice quieter than before.
"This feeling..."
He paused, his expression tightening slightly
.
"It's... a bit unusual... too foreign to me."
He gulped, taking a step back from the window.
Something soon was going to happen.
But what was it?
What was scaring Noir so much that he couldn't even speak of?
When would this mystery unfold?
