Victor drove the car for three hours on the highway until he reached a city. When he reached the outskirts, he parked the car in a quiet place and left it there. This was the first time he had seen a city since coming to this world.
As Victor walked through the streets, he felt many people staring at him. Some people mocked him, and others looked at him with disgust. He looked at himself and understood why. In Meteor City, his clothes were normal, but here in a modern city, he smelled bad and looked like he had come from a trash dump.
Victor decided to find a clothing store. After ten minutes, he found one and used the money he took from the traffickers to buy new clothes and some daily supplies. Then, he found a public washroom to clean himself up.
After a long wash, Victor put on his new clothes and looked in the mirror. He looked very thin and malnourished, but he was finally clean. He wasn't as handsome as a hero in a novel, but he looked decent.
He left the washroom and began to gather information by talking to people. He learned that he was in the United States of Saherta, the same country as Yorknew City. The small city he was currently in was called Nebaska.
Suddenly, Victor felt very hungry. He found a food stall and started eating. The food was so delicious that he ordered two more plates. It was his first real meal, back in Meteor City, he had only survived on hard, dry bread.
After he was full, Victor paid the bill and left.
As he walked, he watched the sun go down and realized he didn't have a place to stay. He reached into his pocket and took out his money. Looking at the few notes and coins in his hand, he thought, "Looks like I'll have to spend the night outside."
He put the money back in his pocket and found a park. He found a bench and fell asleep on it.
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
Suddenly, two hours later, Victor was startled by the sound of footsteps. He opened his eyes and saw three people walking toward him.
Victor stood up and looked at the three men calmly.
The one in the middle, who walked with an arrogant swagger, saw Victor stand up and mocked him. "Looks like we woke the kid up."
The two men beside him laughed. The leader then pulled out a knife and pointed it at Victor. "Kid, you must be new here. I'm a little short on money lately. Why don't you lend me some?" He swayed the knife back and forth as he spoke.
Victor understood perfectly: if he didn't hand over the cash, he would be stabbed. Instead of replying, Victor disappeared from his spot.
The three men were astonished. The one on the right gasped, "Did we just see a ghost?"
"There are no ghosts!" the leader shouted angrily. "The kid ran away! Find him!"
But the leader received no reply. He looked to his side and found both of his henchmen unconscious on the ground. Victor was standing right there, watching him.
Terrified, the leader tried to run, but a hand clamped down firmly on his shoulder.
Five minutes later, the man was sitting on the bench with two large swellings on his face. Victor stood before him and asked, "So, what is your name?"
"Rico," the man muffled through his swollen cheeks.
"Rico," Victor said, satisfied. "Tell me where I can get an ID in this city."
"You can get them in Rust Hollow," Rico replied quickly. "It's a district not far from here."
Victor smiled. "Now, Rico... lend me some money. Actually, I've been a bit short lately."
Looking at Victor's smile, Rico had only one thought: 'Devil.'

One hour later, Victor walked out of Rico's house carrying a briefcase. Surprisingly, Rico was quite wealthy for a street gangster; he had "lent" Victor 4 million Jenny.
Victor walked for ten minutes before finding a hotel. He booked a room on the 7th floor. After entering, he set the briefcase down and opened the curtains. He stared out at the beautiful night view of the city.
"After I get my ID, I can leave this country and head to Heaven's Arena," Victor thought. He closed the curtains and finally fell into a deep, peaceful sleep. It was the most comfortable rest he'd had since arriving in this world.
When Victor finally woke up and cleaned himself, it was 11:00 AM. He noticed a small calendar next to the clock. The year was April 1984.
"There are still 15 years before the original story starts," he realized.
Victor got ready, checked out of the hotel, and headed toward Rust Hollow. Following the directions Rico had given him, he arrived at a small, isolated house fifteen minutes later. He rang the bell.
"What do you want?" a voice shouted from inside.
"An ID," Victor replied.
The door opened to reveal a tall man with a tattoo on his head. He looked Victor up and down before grunting, "Follow me."
Victor followed him into a room dominated by a large table covered in documents, stamps, and specialized tools. Another man was sitting there, working. He looked up at Victor and asked, "What do you want?"
"An ID," Victor said again.
"What type?"
"One that lets me travel to other countries."
The man nodded. "It will cost 1 million Jenny. 500,000 upfront, and 500,000 when it's finished."
Victor didn't hesitate. He pulled a wad of cash from his briefcase and set it on the table. The man took the money and pointed to a chair. "Sit there."
The man took Victor's picture first. Once he was finished, he picked up a pen. "What name do you want on the ID?"
"Victor Kross," Victor replied.
"Ok" the man replied
"The id will be ready in two hours "
Victor nodded and left the house. He found a good restaurant and enjoyed a full dinner. Afterward, he spent two hours exploring the city, visiting local spots and seeing the sights.
When the time was up, he went back to the house. He paid the remaining 500,000 Jenny, collected his new ID, and left for good. While walking, Victor looked at the ID and his photo. He was satisfied with the work, so he tucked it into his pocket and took a taxi to the airport.
After entering Airport he purchased a ticket to the Heavens Arena
After boarding, an air hostess checked Victor's ticket and showed him to his seat. He sat down, and half an hour later, the airship took off into the sky.
It would take five days to reach Heaven's Arena.
Victor looked out the window at the clouds and the shrinking buildings below. As he watched the view, he thought to himself, "Such a beautiful world, yet it is only a small place in the middle of a giant lake called Mobius."
He knew the truth about the Dark Continent. The real world outside the map was countless times more dangerous.
"I need to get stronger," he resolved. "Who knows? One day, a species even more powerful than the Chimera Ants might invade the known world."
