Abi was cuddling me, whispering the words I'd like to hear into my ear. They were not all intelligible, but they sounded sweet and suited my ears' appetite. I lay on my back in new pajamas Abi bought for me; a little too cute for my taste, and probably—wildly—unsuitable for someone like me.
But the baby pink felt good against my skin.
As Abi massaged my aching limbs, rubbed my tummy, and stroked my hair, I felt like my body was recovering with each touch. With her by my side, I thought, I would be back to good health in no time and start streaming again.
