Chapter 25: Susanoo
"Let's attack together! He's just a bald kid—what's there to be afraid of?" one of the criminals shouted.
At his signal, the villains rushed forward.
Their Quirks activated all at once.
Since the villains surrounding Uchiha Izuna, Izuku Midoriya, and Tsuyu Asui all possessed water-type abilities, the entire flood zone erupted into violent waves.
The small boat rocked back and forth.
Midoriya grabbed the railing tightly and struggled to keep his balance.
"Uchiha! Listen to me!" Midoriya shouted. "I have a battle plan!"
"There's no need for a plan," Izuna said calmly as he stepped forward and stood between them and the villains.
"You two just stay behind me."
"Uchiha!" Midoriya yelled anxiously. "You can't kill them!"
Izuna turned slightly.
"If I don't kill them," he said coldly, "they'll kill you."
"Then what's the difference between you and a criminal?" Midoriya shouted, gripping the railing with all his strength.
"Aren't you here at U.A. High School to become a professional hero?!"
"How naive," Izuna replied as he casually spun the dagger in his hand.
"Do you really think the outside world is that beautiful?"
"Have you even experienced it?!" Midoriya demanded hoarsely.
"If heroes kill people whenever they want, wouldn't the world fall into chaos?"
"I'm not a hero."
Those words left Midoriya speechless.
"And your ideas are far too rigid," Izuna continued calmly.
"Do you think crime disappears just because you refuse to kill?"
As he spoke, he flicked his wrist.
"Pfft!"
The dagger shot forward and pierced straight into a criminal's heart.
Blood spread across the water instantly.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock.
"If you don't show ruthless strength," Izuna said coldly,
"How will you ever make them fear you?"
The three tomoe in his eyes connected together.
A massive surge of chakra erupted from his body.
"Whoosh—!"
A blue skeletal structure suddenly formed around him.
It grew rapidly.
Arms.
Muscles.
Armor.
Weapons.
Within seconds, a gigantic figure appeared.
Even though only the upper half had formed, the sheer pressure it emitted was overwhelming.
"What… what is that?!"
"I thought his Quirk was standing on water!"
"If we can't beat it, retreat!"
"But what about Shigaraki—"
"BOOM!!!"
Before they could finish speaking—
The giant Susanoo arm slammed down.
A massive wave surged outward.
The criminals were thrown into the air by the water.
Before they could recover—
Susanoo's hand grabbed them.
Without hesitation—
Their lives were crushed instantly.
The once-blue water turned crimson red.
The heavy smell of blood filled the air.
Midoriya and Tsuyu couldn't endure the sight.
Both of them leaned over the railing, retching.
Meanwhile—
On the high platform, Tomura Shigaraki stared toward the flood zone while scratching his neck violently.
"…Let's retreat."
"Retreat?" Kurogiri asked in surprise after returning to his side.
"That's unusual for you."
"I could teleport that boy somewhere else," Kurogiri suggested.
"Then we could capture the other students."
"Capture him?" Shigaraki muttered as he stared at Kurogiri with bloodshot eyes.
"Don't forget—our goal today was All Might."
"Do you want that monster to escape and warn the heroes?"
"We're not his opponent."
"At least—not yet."
Shigaraki scratched his neck harder, leaving red marks across his skin.
"All Might isn't here."
"Nomu is gone."
"There's no reason for us to stay."
"…Understood."
Kurogiri nodded slowly.
A purple portal opened in front of them.
The two figures stepped inside and disappeared.
Back in the flood zone—
The remaining villains quickly fell into chaos once Shigaraki left.
It didn't take long before they were all subdued.
Midoriya and Tsuyu held onto the railing for a long time before finally recovering.
Izuna stood calmly on the surface of the water.
The towering Susanoo surrounding him slowly faded away as if it had never existed.
At the USJ entrance, Aizawa Shouta finished tying up the last villain.
He removed his goggles and exhaled heavily.
"Senior Aizawa…" Thirteen said suddenly.
Their voice trembled slightly as they pointed toward the flood zone.
"There seems to be… a problem over there."
"What?" Aizawa asked sharply.
He immediately turned to look.
In the distance—
The water surface was completely red.
"…Uchiha said earlier he was going to help in the flood area," Aizawa muttered.
He quickly put his goggles back on and began running toward the scene.
"…Please don't let something have happened."
