Bex Tor wanted the heat gate opened.
Fei Moss wanted the red pipe isolated first.
The foundry passage gave them one wheel and one pressure strip. Bex could reach the wheel with his free hand. Fei could reach the strip and the pipe clamp. Neither could reach the other's equipment without crossing the floor grate between them.
Hot air rose through that grate from Heat Room Six.
Hara Vek accepted one controlled vent after Tem Kall and Suli Dask gave separate answers. Tem would close the furnace latch if his burn wrap heated. Suli would block the reject chute if its chain moved. Hara retained her fist signal over the camera.
Asha watched from Hesh. She knew the bridge sever handle around Bex's wrist. She did not know the foundry gate.
"Joint One's handle releases after the red pin turns a quarter," she said. "On the bridge, Bex could do that with his right hand. I cannot see whether the heat changed it."
