Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Although many people who had received Augment implants claimed that the entire surgery was painless

Although many people who had received Augment implants claimed that the entire surgery was painless, Durin didn't believe it. Instead, he thought these guys had lost their human sense of pain, which was why they said such things.

"Not interested. I'm very satisfied with my current body." Durin refused directly, stating in a deep voice, "Quote."

Although his injuries were wrapped in bandages and thickly smeared with ointment, large movements could still pull at the freshly healed wounds, causing noticeable pain.

Hearing Durin's refusal, the Toad Witch Doctor yawned unenthusiastically, tapped his pipe, letting the ash fall to the ground, and casually said, "Bandaging, surgery fee, anesthetic, external wound medicine, and the glucose injected while you were unconscious, just give me three silver lun coins!"

"Why would I need anesthetic when I was unconscious? And given your personality, you'd save wherever possible, so how could you have given me anesthetic?" Durin immediately exposed him, "I heard that your homemade wound medicine used to worsen people's injuries, and you only improved it later, so it's not worth that much money, two silver lun coins!"

"Why are young people so stingy? You don't act like an Ionia man at all, more like a Piltoverians who loves to bargain." The Toad Witch Doctor leaned back on the sofa, somewhat tiredly, "I won't argue with you, two silver lun coins it is! Remember to close the door when you leave, I'm exhausted."

Seeing him agree so readily, Durin wasn't happy. Instead, he was stunned, then cursed in his heart: Damn it, I offered too much! That toad still made a profit.

But he had no choice but to rummage two silver lun coins from his inner pocket, place them on the table, and then, carrying the external wound medicine, left the house.

Before leaving, Durin again glanced at the clock on the wall; it was now 8:30.

He had slept for about seven hours. No wonder his dream this time was so beautiful, Durin thought to himself: One day, he would definitely become a Piltoverians, see the sun, frequent high-end places, and chat and laugh with those councilors!

He definitely could!

After leaving the alley, Durin walked towards the elevator again. After receiving one copper circle coin from Durin, the elevator attendant confirmed everyone was in and then slammed the iron gate shut.

The entire elevator was packed with people, all silent.

At this moment, someone suddenly spoke, "Big Sis, didn't Vander say he had something important to discuss with everyone this afternoon?"

A dull, somewhat neutral female voice reprimanded, "Shut up! Is this a place to talk?"

But the next moment, the previously silent elevator instantly erupted. Everyone was agitated and emotional due to the recent violent searches by the Piltover Enforcers.

"These Piltover people have gone too far recently!"

"Take them down!"

"They're too much! Yesterday, he choked my wife! And kicked my five-year-old child!"

"Damn it, I can't take it anymore. At worst, we fight back!"

"..."

The violent actions of the Piltover Enforcers had completely ignited the anger in the hearts of the Zaunites. The long-suppressed resentment erupted completely at this moment.

Clang, clang, clang!

"Entresol Level!"

A gang thug shouted, hitting the railing with a stick.

When the elevator stopped at the Entresol Level, Durin walked out. He now needed to submit the debt owed from the debt collection mission, one gold cogwheel to Mr. Reno. After walking for about forty minutes, Durin finally arrived at 12, Third Street, East District.

He rested for a while, feeling quite tired from walking, which further strengthened his resolve to make something of himself, so that he wouldn't have to rely on his legs for transportation anymore.

At the end of the alley, there was a half-open iron gate, with people occasionally entering and exiting.

Walking through the iron gate, at the end of the passage was a simple isolation door. After passing through it, one entered a shop, which was Mr. Reno's Alchemy Workshop.

The workshop owner, wearing a greasy work uniform, was tinkering with his alchemy tools. Upon seeing Durin enter, he first frowned and impatiently said, "Did you get the money?"

Durin nodded, fumbled in his inner pocket for a gold cogwheel and the emblem symbolizing the Alchemy Workshop, and handed them over together, saying, "This is the debt paid by the old miner Slaut. He no longer owes you money."

Upon seeing the shiny gold cogwheel, the workshop owner was initially surprised. After sizing up Durin, a brilliant smile immediately bloomed on his face, like a chrysanthemum in full bloom, with his wrinkles all squeezed together.

Mr. Reno picked up a rag, wiped his hands, and then took the gold cogwheel and emblem.

He then took out an IOU and a small, heavy cloth bag from a drawer, stuffing them into Durin's hand, and said, "Not bad, not bad, you really have some skill. You'll have to trouble you to give this IOU to Slaut later, and the money in this cloth bag is your commission, 4.8 silver lun coins. Count them."

Durin immediately opened the cloth bag and carefully counted the contents, ensuring there were four silver lun coins and 80 copper circle coins, before confidently stuffing them into his inner pocket.

Then, he left the alley, and the next thing he had to do was to pay the tuition to the previous Blacksmith Kang and then be promoted to a long-awaited Blacksmith Apprentice!
