CHAPTER 11 – "You Walked Into My World"

Lucien Valtieri did not get ignored.

But tonight—

Zara Valtoria had done exactly that.

And worse?

She made it look effortless.

Back in the private section, Adrian and Victor were still watching him closely when the door opened again.

A soft, familiar perfume filled the room.

"Lucien…"

He didn't need to turn.

He already knew.

Elena Marquez.

Elegant. Graceful. Everything Zara wasn't.

She stepped in slowly, her dress soft, flowing, designed to please rather than dominate.

"I heard you were here," she said gently, her eyes lingering on him with quiet admiration.

Lucien didn't respond immediately.

Didn't stand.

Didn't invite her closer.

"Then you heard correctly," he said flatly.

Elena hesitated, then moved closer anyway.

"You've been distant," she added softly. "I thought maybe we could talk—"

Lucien stood.

Abrupt.

Decisive.

"I'm busy."

Her expression fell slightly.

"But—"

He was already walking.

Toward the door.

Toward the room Zara had disappeared into.

Adrian smirked faintly.

"Well," he muttered, standing. "This should be interesting."

Victor chuckled low.

"I'm not missing this."

Elena hesitated for only a second—

Then followed.

The moment Lucien pushed the door open—

He stopped.

The room was different.

Darker.

Warmer.

Drenched in indulgence.

Soft smoke curled through the air. Low music pulsed like a heartbeat. Velvet couches, dim gold lighting, bodies moving lazily in a world that didn't follow rules.

And at the center of it—

Zara Valtoria.

Reclined like a queen in her element.

Untouchable.

Unbothered.

Surrounded.

Men lounged nearby, some shirtless, others relaxed, all clearly aware of who held control in the room.

But they didn't touch her.

They didn't dare.

Because even here—

Zara set the rules.

Beside her sat two people who matched her energy perfectly.

Her inner circle.

Her chaos.

Her equals.

Cassian Voss — her best friend and creative director of Valtoria Group's luxury fashion line.

Beautiful in a sharp, androgynous way, his features smooth, his presence magnetic. He moved with effortless elegance, a glass in hand, eyes always observing.

And

Sienna Vale — socialite, influencer, and heir to a global cosmetics empire.

Stunning. Bold. Unfiltered. The kind of woman who thrived in chaos and turned attention into currency.

Sienna laughed at something Zara said, leaning back lazily.

"You're too cruel," she teased.

Zara smirked slightly.

"I'm honest."

Cassian tilted his head, watching her.

"No," he corrected softly. "You're bored."

Zara didn't deny it.

Then—

She felt it.

That shift again.

That presence.

Her eyes lifted.

And landed on him.

Lucien.

Standing at the entrance.

Watching.

Silence didn't fall.

The music didn't stop.

But something in the room acknowledged him.

Zara's lips curved slowly.

"Wrong room," she said lazily.

Lucien stepped inside anyway.

Of course he did.

Behind him, Adrian and Victor entered, their expressions shifting as they took in the scene.

Victor raised a brow.

"Well… this explains a lot."

Adrian crossed his arms slightly, studying everything.

"And you want to marry her?"

Elena stepped in last.

And froze.

Because this world?

This wasn't hers.

Zara's gaze flicked to her briefly.

Then back to Lucien.

Uninterested.

Unbothered.

"Did you get lost?" Zara asked smoothly.

Lucien didn't respond immediately.

His eyes moved across the room once.

The men.

The atmosphere.

The indulgence.

Then back to her.

"I see how you spend your time," he said calmly.

Zara leaned back further into the couch.

"And?"

A pause.

"You don't like it?"

Lucien stepped closer.

"No."

The honesty was immediate.

Unfiltered.

Sienna smirked, sipping her drink.

"Oh, I like him," she murmured. "He's bold."

Cassian chuckled softly.

"He has to be. He's still standing."

Zara ignored them.

Her attention stayed on Lucien.

"Then leave," she said.

Simple.

Direct.

Lucien didn't move.

"I told you," he said quietly, "I go wherever you are."

Zara's eyes sharpened slightly.

Victor leaned casually against the wall now, clearly entertained.

"This is better than I expected," he muttered.

Adrian nodded faintly.

"Much better."

Elena stood awkwardly behind them, her gaze fixed on Zara now.

Measuring.

Comparing.

Losing.

Zara noticed.

Of course she did.

Her lips curved faintly.

Then she stood.

Slowly.

Every movement deliberate.

Controlled.

Powerful.

The room subtly shifted with her.

Because when Zara stood—

Everything else adjusted.

She walked toward Lucien.

Step by step.

Until she stood right in front of him.

Close.

Too close.

"You walked into my world," she said softly.

Lucien's gaze didn't move.

"And you walked into mine first."

A pause.

Sharp.

Zara tilted her head slightly.

Studying him.

Testing him.

"Careful," she said quietly.

"This place doesn't follow your rules."

Lucien leaned in slightly.

"I'm not here to control the room."

A beat.

"I'm here for you."

Silence.

Heavy.

Unavoidable.

Sienna raised a brow, whispering to Cassian,

"Oh, he's dangerous."

Cassian smiled faintly.

"No," he said softly.

"He's obsessed."

Zara's lips curved slowly again.

But this time—

It wasn't just amusement.

It was challenge.

"Then stay," she said.

A pause.

"Let's see how long you last."

Lucien didn't step back.

Didn't hesitate.

Didn't leave.

And just like that—

The game changed again.
