Steven looked at his father and said calmly, "Father, I want to leave the city for some time."
Albert Walker was startled. "Leave the city? But why so suddenly? Did something happen? Are you facing any problem?"
Steven gently reassured him.
"No, father. Nothing like that. I just want to spend some time outside the city and travel a little."
Albert frowned slightly.
"But you never liked traveling before. Why the sudden change?"
Steven replied,
"Dad, I've been studying at the university for so long that I've become a little frustrated. I need some fresh air to clear my mind."
After hearing this, Albert nodded slowly.
"If that's the case, then you can go. After all, you're free now and should enjoy life. But how long will you be gone? And where are you planning to go?"
Steven answered,
"I'll probably be gone for about a year. I don't want to stay in just one place. I want to visit many locations. But I want to start my journey from the most famous place on the Eastern Continent… the Golden Star Mountains."
Albert smiled warmly.
"Alright, son. Do as you wish. Enjoy your trip. Just make sure you call us from time to time and take care of yourself."
Steven nodded.
"Of course, father. I'll take good care of myself. And thank you very much for allowing me to go."
After saying that, Steven quietly left.
As he walked away, a serious expression appeared on his face.
I don't actually want to leave the city, he thought.
But I have no choice.
I know my brother very well. He could go to any extent to remove me from his path.
Once father announces the competition to choose the next CEO, his schemes will begin.
I must prepare myself before that happens.
I need connections and influence.
To everyone else, it may look like I'm going on a vacation…
But in reality, I'm going out to build a new business empire.
With those thoughts in mind, Steven returned to his room.
He packed his clothes, placed them neatly inside his suitcase, and prepared to leave.
Before departing, he met his parents one last time, took their blessings, and headed toward the airport.
Soon, his flight took him to the Eastern Continent.
From there, he hired a taxi and began his journey toward the Golden Star Mountains.
Meanwhile…
Back at the Walker Mansion.
John, his wife Dyana, and the rest of the family were sitting together for breakfast.
John looked around and frowned.
"Why hasn't Steven come yet? Yesterday was my wedding, and even I woke up early today. But he's still sleeping like a shameless person. Father, you've spoiled him too much."
Albert sighed and replied,
"Calm down, John. Steven isn't here. He left early this morning."
John looked shocked.
"He left? Where did he go? Did he run away from home?"
Albert immediately stopped him.
"Stop talking nonsense. He simply wanted to travel for a while."
John frowned again.
"Travel? But where? And why so suddenly?"
Albert replied,
"He told me this morning that he wants to visit several places."
Hearing this, John fell silent.
What new drama is he planning now? he wondered.
What's the real reason behind this trip?
But whatever… it's actually good.
At least I won't have to see his face for some time.
And now I can build a better image in front of father and become the next CEO.
With that thought, John said,
"Alright, Dad. Let him do whatever he wants. Let's just finish breakfast."
Soon the entire family finished their meal and returned to their work.
Later, John and his wife Dyana were talking privately.
Dyana asked him,
"So, John… what are you planning to do now?"
John looked confused.
"What do you mean?"
Dyana smiled slightly.
"Your studies are finished, and now we're married. My father wants you to become the CEO of Walker Industries."
John smirked confidently.
"My dear wife, that's exactly what I want as well. But becoming CEO isn't easy."
He leaned closer and said,
"Don't worry. I already have a plan. Just watch how I remove that shameless brother of mine from my path and become the CEO."
Dyana nodded.
"I trust you completely. I'm sure you'll become the CEO and fulfill my father's dream. Just be careful… your brother might try something clever."
John smiled.
"Don't worry, my darling. I'll handle everything."
Meanwhile…
Steven finally arrived at the Golden Star Mountains.
He checked into a luxurious five-star hotel and booked a room.
Standing near the window and looking at the vast mountains in the distance, a determined expression appeared on his face.
