The story continues with pain, patience, and a hidden plan of Allah unfolding beautifully…
After being thrown into the deep well by his own brothers, young Yusuf (AS) was left alone in complete darkness. The cold walls of the well surrounded him, and above him was only a small circle of sky. It was a moment that could break anyone—but not a Prophet chosen by Allah.
Even in that terrifying situation, Yusuf (AS) did not lose hope. Because Allah was with him.
🌙 A Light in the Darkness
Inside the well, Yusuf (AS) remained patient. Allah sent peace into his heart and gave him a promise—that one day, he would remind his brothers of what they had done.
Hours passed. Then suddenly, something unexpected happened…
A caravan of travelers passed by the well. They were searching for water. One of them lowered a bucket into the well, hoping to find water.
But instead of water, he found something far more valuable.
As the bucket came down, Yusuf (AS) held onto it. When the man pulled it up, he was shocked to see a beautiful young boy instead of water.
He exclaimed with joy:
"What a treasure!"
🛤️ From a Well to a New Fate
The travelers secretly decided to take Yusuf (AS) with them and sell him as a slave in the market of Egypt.
Imagine—from a beloved son of a Prophet to being sold like an object. But this was not the end. It was the beginning of a greater plan.
When they reached Egypt, Yusuf (AS) was sold at a low price, as if he had little value. Yet in reality, he was priceless in the sight of Allah.
🏛️ A New Home in Egypt
In Egypt, a noble and powerful man, often known as the Aziz (minister), bought Yusuf (AS). He was impressed by the boy's beauty, intelligence, and calmness.
He said to his wife:
"Treat him kindly. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we may adopt him as a son."
And just like that, Yusuf (AS) entered a new chapter of his life—living in a palace instead of a well.
🌟 Growing Up with Honor
Years passed, and Yusuf (AS) grew into a young man of extraordinary character and beauty. Allah blessed him not only with physical beauty but also with wisdom and knowledge.
He was honest, trustworthy, and always remembered Allah in everything he did.
Allah says in meaning:
"And when he reached maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. Thus do We reward the doers of good."
⚠️ A Test of Temptation
But life in the palace brought a new and dangerous test.
The wife of the Aziz became attracted to Yusuf (AS). His beauty and character captured her heart, and she tried to lead him towards sin.
One day, she locked the doors and called Yusuf (AS) towards her.
But Yusuf (AS), a true servant of Allah, immediately stepped back and said:
"I seek refuge in Allah! My master has treated me well. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed."
This moment shows the قوة (strength) of his ایمان (faith). Even when faced with temptation, he chose Allah over everything.
🏃♂️ Running Away from Sin
Yusuf (AS) tried to escape. He ran towards the door, and she chased him from behind. In the struggle, his shirt was torn from the back.
At that exact moment, the husband (Aziz) appeared at the door.
The woman quickly tried to change the story and accused Yusuf (AS), saying:
"What should be the punishment for someone who intended evil against your wife?"
But Allah exposed the truth.
A witness from her family said:
"If his shirt is torn from the front, she is telling the truth. But if it is torn from the back, then he is truthful."
When they saw that the shirt was torn from the back, it became clear that Yusuf (AS) was innocent.
🗣️ Rumors Spread in the City
Even after the truth was revealed, rumors began to spread among the women of the city.
They talked about the wife of the Aziz, saying she was deeply in love with her servant.
To defend herself, she invited those women to a gathering. She gave each of them a knife and fruit to cut.
Then she called Yusuf (AS) to come out.
When they saw him, they were so amazed by his beauty that they accidentally cut their hands and said:
"This is not a human! This is an angel!"
This showed just how extraordinary Yusuf (AS) was.
🙏 Choosing Prison Over Sin
Despite everything, the woman continued her pressure. She even threatened Yusuf (AS) with prison if he did not obey her.
At that moment, Yusuf (AS) made a powerful du'a:
"O my Lord, prison is more beloved to me than what they invite me to."
And Allah accepted his prayer.
Instead of falling into sin, Yusuf (AS) chose prison—choosing Allah over comfort, over freedom, over everything.
⛓️ Entering the Prison
Thus, Yusuf (AS) was sent to prison unjustly.
From a well… to a palace… and now to a prison.
But every step was part of Allah's perfect plan.
Even in prison, Yusuf (AS) remained patient, kind, and devoted to Allah. He began to call others towards truth and teach them about faith.
