"Mom!" Hugh Wyatt rubbed his lower back, glaring at her accusingly. "Why'd you hit me! The one who should be getting hit is the guy on the floor… Ah! You hit me again!?"
"Shut up!" Mrs. Wyatt shot him a sideways glance. "I'm talking to your sister. Why do you keep interrupting!?"
Hugh Wyatt's mouth twitched. He made a zipping motion across his lips, signaling that he would keep quiet.
Holly Wyatt's blinking quickened as she secretly studied her mother's expression. 'Will his wolf ears pop out while he's asleep?' she worried. She kept stealing glances at Silas Thornton whenever the other two weren't looking.
"Still looking! You're still looking?!" Mrs. Wyatt slapped her own thigh, using a bit too much force. She stiffened in pain but forced herself to maintain a calm expression. "He's already asleep! What's there to look at? Is he that good-looking!?"
"Mom." Holly Wyatt said, cautiously raising her hand. "Can I make a call? I'll have his assistant come pick him up."
