Tristan's eyes filled with tears. He was deeply moved.
"Uh-huh, uh-huh." Candice Sinclair nodded emphatically and promised, "Don't be scared, Daddy. Mommy and I will always be with you."
Holly Sinclair froze.
'Why did this little one have to drag me into it?'
At his daughter's words, Tristan Sterling's heart skipped a beat. He instinctively looked up at the woman he loved.
Holly Sinclair kept her eyes downcast, completely ignoring his fervent gaze.
Tristan Sterling stared at her perfect profile, his heart bursting with joy.
'She didn't deny it!'
'And she didn't stop our daughter from 'speaking out of turn' either!'
Whether or not the beautiful dream his daughter had spun came true, at least Holly wasn't actively showing her disdain for him right now.
For him, that was the best news in the world.
"Yes, Daddy's not scared. Not scared at all!"
