Megan Kane was completely ready to leave, but just as she hung up the phone, the unexpected happened.
She saw the one person she never wanted to see again.
Jason Forrester had shown up at her door after all.
"I think we should sit down and talk."
"Don't you have anything you want to say to me?"
Jason Forrester felt that even now, there was still a chance for them to smooth things over.
"I have nothing to say. I'm in a hurry right now, so if you don't have anything important to discuss, get out of my way."
"If I'm late, I'll have to buy a new ticket, and I don't have time to waste with you."
"Move!" Megan Kane's voice was cold and detached, as if she refused to even acknowledge the man standing before her.
'But I don't even know how to resolve any of this.'
'Then again, I keep telling myself I'll figure things out.'
