Megan Kane had lost count of how many times she'd come to the hospital. Breathing in the familiar scent of disinfectant, she had no idea what to make of the scene before her.
She felt utterly exhausted, with no idea how this situation would be resolved, nor whether the man before her was out of danger.
Jason Forrester lay on the hospital bed, his gaze cold and indifferent. He didn't greet the newcomer or even say a word.
He had well and truly lost all his memories, so he didn't recognize the person before him in the slightest.
'There was no point in greeting a complete stranger, especially since he wouldn't know what to say anyway.'
"You don't need to stand guard here. Now that I'm here, you can step out. Are you absolutely sure he's completely lost his memory?"
Megan Kane crossed her arms and cautiously questioned one of the nearby bodyguards. After all, judging by Jason's state, he truly didn't seem to recognize her; he hadn't said a single word.
