Megan Kane stared at the mountain of documents, not knowing where to even begin.
The man before her couldn't offer any solutions either, so he just stared blankly at her.
The assistant knew the top priority was to find a solution. Getting bogged down like this was pointless.
"Did you just pile all the work from the last few weeks on my desk?"
"Has it not occurred to any of you to try and handle this work yourselves?"
"Somehow, I don't think this is just a single month's worth of work."
Megan Kane's eyebrows shot up. 'This definitely feels like more than just one month's workload.'
But the man before her just gave an awkward smile and said nothing more.
The assistant didn't know how to describe the company's current state. 'It is what it is, I guess.'
It was stuck in limbo, hard to make sense of. Everyone's attitude was incredibly negative, and he was at a loss for words.
'But I can't just dump all this negativity on her, can I? That wouldn't be right.'
