Megan Kane never expected that not only would she fail to retrieve the files, but she would find out they had already been sold.
"Are you saying all the files have been sold? What are the employees saying?"
"Are they planning to jump ship? Or have they just decided to wash their hands of the whole thing?"
"And what about the investors? Have you gotten their opinion?"
Megan Kane frowned slightly, unsure how to even begin tackling this problem.
'There might have been a way to get them back before,' she thought. 'But they sold them off so quickly. This must have been premeditated.'
'Since this was a premeditated move, I can't come up with a good solution. I'll just have to take it one step at a time.'
"I don't know what to say. The fact is, they've been sold."
"We have no way to retrieve the files now, and frankly, I don't know how we can resolve this."
"As for the others in the company, they're all staying silent on the matter. They're just waiting for you to solve it."
