Chapter 36 - – The Demon God Guarding the House

"How dare you talk like that?"

The little red dog, Crimson Beast, barked angrily at Ping'er. Behind it, the massive phantom of the Lava Demon God appeared.

The moment this happened, Ping'er, the adepti, and the Yaksha immediately drew their weapons.

Those who hadn't sensed it before suddenly realized something shocking.

My heavens… that little red dog is actually the Lava Demon God?

"Hmm?"

Ren Kai glanced coldly at Crimson Beast.

"You should at least show some respect."

"I may have lost to Mr. Madara, but I didn't lose to you."

Crimson Beast withdrew its phantom and spoke more politely to Ping'er and the others.

"Mm."

Ren Kai calmly looked at the adepti and the Yaksha.

"The methods of the True Martial Emperor are truly extraordinary."

"Since the matter is settled, we will take our leave."

Fuxuan spoke respectfully after seeing Crimson Beast's transformation.

"Mm. I'll head back as well."

Seeing the curious looks from the adepti, Ren Kai decided it was time to leave.

Unlike before—

He didn't run.

He simply flew into the sky, carrying Crimson Beast along with him.

This was one of the changes brought by the Ultimate Sage Body.

Both his chakra and physical body had undergone a qualitative transformation.

After the Yaksha and adepti left, Ping'er and Cloud Retainer remained behind.

"This is too unbelievable."

Cloud Retainer looked around at the transformed landscape in amazement.

"It seems we were too young."

"We've never truly witnessed real power."

Ping'er gently touched one of the trees.

"The vitality of these trees is ten times that of normal ones."

"And they're no longer under their creator's control."

Cloud Retainer added.

"It seems you and the others have now accepted the existence of this True Martial Emperor."

Ping'er said after noticing the subtle changes in everyone's attitudes.

"He can wield multiple elements at the same time."

"I've never heard of any being capable of such a feat."

"Even if I didn't want to admit it, I'd still have to."

Cloud Retainer nodded in admiration.

Meanwhile—

The Five Yaksha had not yet dispersed.

Instead, they returned to the cave entrance Fuxuan had been guarding.

"Brother Fuxuan… it seems everyone wants to see it."

Mina glanced at Xiao, Yingda, and Vana.

"In that case, let's all go inside."

"We'll satisfy your curiosity, then return to our posts."

Fuxuan smiled.

"Let's go!"

Vana immediately rushed into the cave while putting on her Yaksha mask.

"Be careful."

Fuxuan couldn't help worrying.

The other Yaksha put on their masks and followed.

When the five Yaksha jumped into the tunnel—

Their eyes widened.

"This… is the trace of wind."

Xiao examined the destroyed ground in shock.

"And fire."

Even without Yingda pointing it out, the others noticed.

The scorched black soil and lingering smell of burning made it obvious.

As they ventured deeper, the scene resembled a living hell.

Monsters lay dead everywhere.

The stench of blood filled the air.

Strange beasts had already gathered, attracted by the carnage.

The Yaksha fought their way forward for an entire hour before reaching the magma vein.

"My heavens… is this truly a miracle?"

Vana cried out in shock.

"This level of divine might…"

"I have only seen something comparable from the Geo Archon."

"If the forest above is a miracle, then this is heavenly power."

Mina stared at the scene before him.

Before them lay the massive remains of Crimson Beast's magma body.

Yet within the towering forest, it looked almost small.

The colossal trees stretched endlessly.

Even magma could not melt them.

Each tree stood nearly three hundred meters tall.

And the branches alone had pierced the demon god's corpse.

"I remember correctly…"

"The Lava Demon God Crimson Beast is roughly equal in strength to the Vortex Demon God Osial."

Fuxuan's words shocked the others once again.

"Tsk, what a coincidence."

Ping'er and Cloud Retainer arrived from another direction.

"…."

Xiao sighed.

"There are more people over there."

In the distance stood Mountain Shaper and Moon Carver.

"It seems everyone's curiosity is quite strong."

"Since we're all here, what do you think?"

Ping'er asked.

"Strong."

Mountain Shaper replied.

"Very strong."

Moon Carver added.

"Extremely strong!"

Vana shouted happily.

"You're all so boring."

"I've seen enough. I'm leaving."

Cloud Retainer rolled her eyes.

"You're right. No point asking you."

Ping'er laughed and left with her.

Soon the adepti and Yaksha all returned to their respective posts.

"I have an idea."

"Why don't we move into the True Martial Emperor's residence?"

Ping'er suddenly said.

"That might work during the day."

"But at night we must return to our domains to watch over the mountains."

"It's our responsibility."

Cloud Retainer nodded.

"You know… it would be easier if the True Martial Emperor just swept through the mountains and the subterranean world."

"Then we could rest for a long time."

Ping'er said jokingly.

"If you're so brave, go ask him."

"Everyone knows the monsters in the mountains and underground world can never be exterminated."

"Even the Geo Archon suppressed them several times, yet things remain the same."

Cloud Retainer gave her a blank look.

"Sigh…"

"Watching those ugly monsters every day is exhausting."

Ping'er sighed.

Meanwhile—

Ren Kai had already returned home with Crimson Beast.

He gave the little red dog a detailed lecture about the rules for surviving there.

Rule One: No killing, looting, or destruction.

Rule Two: No losing your temper.

Rule Three: Protect every plant in the residence.

Rule Four: Act cute and play with Qiqi and little Yae.

Rule Five: Stay calm around humans and never get angry.

Crimson Beast listened helplessly.

It retracted the spikes and strange protrusions from its body, transforming completely into an ordinary red watchdog.

Back at the residence, its first task was to play with Qiqi and little Yae.

At first, Crimson Beast was reluctant.

But under Ren Kai's threatening look—one that clearly suggested dog meat stew—it obediently complied.

Then something unexpected happened.

After tasting the midnight snacks in the residence—

Crimson Beast immediately gave up resisting.

"This is incredible…"

"My old life wasn't even fit for a dog."

"This is heaven!"

Crimson Beast devoured a roasted lamb leg while drooling happily.
