¬ Slin
This was a nightmare.
One I wanted to wake up from.
"Prince Slin!" one of my attendants rammed a hand on my shoulder, her eyes frantic as I snapped out of my shock.
She said something, but her words were out of tune and mute as I took in the chaos all around us.
I couldn't say how long I had been standing here. Time had lost all meaning the moment Paloma's true form erupted and swallowed everything in its path.
Lady Effer's shield had helped protect us all from the onslaught, only for Mother to set up an offensive barrier over Lady Effer's when she noticed Keane was gone.
"Your Highness!"
My cheek stung, my head snapping to the side as a sharp force rocked my head.
I stiffened, holding my cheek as I looked up at my mother's closest aide.
"Come to your senses!"
Even as she yelled, tears poured from her eyes.
"I… Forgive me." I straightened.
