¬ Fashire
I have truly fucked up.
The thought kept circling in my mind as I walked back into the hall, the officials speaking words I could not bring myself to hear.
Her eyes haunted me.
It was not the fury I had grown accustomed to, nor was it the sharp defiance that made my blood sing whenever we clashed.
That wounded gaze made my chest feel like it was caving in on itself.
'"Do you remember when you bit me and dragged me out before them?"'
I remembered.
Of course, I remembered.
She had screamed, and I had laughed. I also clearly recalled dragging her to face the others.
The memory made something twist violently in my gut.
That bitter smile and the way she had grabbed that shoulder disturbed me. The very shoulder I had just touched, and the one I had torn into with my fangs months ago.
Why was her body remembering—
'Stop.'
'Just stop it!'
