Tatski stares at the ceiling of her small shared room. Suyome stands up and walks over to her bed and bends down
Suyome: "What's on your mind? It's late, we have our first training session in the evening you need as much rest as you can get."
Tatski: "I'm just thinking about my family…and also if everyone here has powers then why hasn't anyone broken out of here yet with their powers?"
Suyome giggles and sits on her bed
Suyome: "The S.A.O.S.N.P already knew that was an issue so they installed a field around the facility that nullifies our powers. The field doesn't work on the training grounds or labs"
Tatski: "So you really are prisoners here…I don't know how to use my powers yet. I actually just now awakened them not that long ago…I was getting chased then I just…killed a man."
Suyome nods and hums
Suyome: "They activated by fear huh?…that happens to most people. I unlocked my powers when I was a child…"
Tatski: "How does it work? Like how does one just…obtain powers?"
Suyome taps her forehead to think
Suyome: "when they brought me here a year ago they explained it to me…some humans posses a rare genetic defect that can't be found by normal means. The defect transforms one's cells into powers…people who overuse their powers usually die from unnatural cell mutations due to the nature of their power"
Tatski: "So what's your power?"
Suyome: "My code name is siren…I use hypersonic speech and can manipulate people's actions with a single word. When they brought me here my mouth was muzzled and drilled shut"
She points to the scars on her face. Tatski flinches at the sight of them
Suyome: "Sice you were brought here while handcuffed and restrained you most likely possess a weapon or some form of assault ability."
Tatski: "Yeah…when I killed the man he had cuts down his chest and stomach…"
Suyome giggles and swings her feet…then her tone switches and she talks with a cold voice
Suyome: "Tomorrows training is testing our abilities against each other…we'll most likely kill other people."
Tatski shivers at the sudden change and she clears her throat
Tatski: "I dont want to kill anyone…"
Suyome: "Get used to it. Only 10 of us can be on the K-team. I don't lose easily…good luck, Tatski."
Suyome turns over on her bed and Tatski stares at her with a terrified expression, dreading the next day
[Underground Training Ground, 11:30 pm]
Tatski and the other members of the K-team stand in an open field wearing high end tactical armor. Suyome stands next to her patting her back
Cujack walks into the grounds and gets their attention.
Cujack: "This is a free for all. There are no rules. If you can't use your powers then you will die. To the left of me is a pill that will unlock your potential. It will unlock that door keeping your power away and let them in. The battle will be an hour. Good luck my soldiers." She walks away and stands in a metal booth watching with the rest of the scientists and spectators
Tatski stands awkwardly before walking over to the small podium and picking up a pill. She hesitates and looks around at the other people in the area
Suyome: "Eat the pill Tatski! If you want to be strong you have to take risk!"
Tatski: "What will happen to me if I eat this pill?"
Suyome: "Just as madam Cujack said, your potential will be unlocked and your power will grow! Just trust the words of Cujack!"
Tatski takes a deep breath and slowly eats the pill. Nothing happens. She feels no different then when she first arrived at the battle ground
Cujack: "Let battle commence! I will be dropping the hypersonic x-field." Cujack presses a button and a weight lifts off everyone's shoulders
Tatskis eyes widen and she falls to the ground coughing and throwing up blood. The pill finally starts to take effect and power surges through her chest and arms
Suyome watches with a grin as Tatskis hair floats up and she starts floating above the ground.
Suyome: "You really are a witch!"
Tatskis vision starts blurring and she blacks out from the stress…
[At the same time on the opposite end of the facility]
Sora, Beatrice and Hana crawl through the manhole into a vast sewer system. Sora opens her book and the words are no long jumbled.
Sora: "We are in the sewer…this isn't some cool ass evil hideout…"
Beatrice: "my shoes are expensive! And we're knee deep in poop! What the hell sora!"
Hana: "C-calm down Beatrice. Maybe her book made a mista-"
Sora turns around with a huff and points at Hana
Sora: "My book is NEVER wrong! My whole life has been guided by this one book! Now we are gonna find our way into this hideout-"
The ground shakes and they all loose their balance. Sora looks at beatrice who is desperately cleaning off her pants after the fall
Sora: "What the hell do you think that was? Could it be an earthquake?"
Hana: "we could be under a train station…?"
Beatrice: "Whatever it is…it doesn't sound good"
They get their barrings and start making their way through the tunnels of the sewers.
After exploring for 10 minutes they find a maintenance door connecting to another tunnel. Sora opens her book and nods at Beatrice and Hana.
Sora: "The book says to stay in this direction and we will find what we are looking for!"
The girls nod and all walk down the long lengthy tunnel. After 20 minutes they arrive at another door. This one white and locked from the other side
Hana: "Aw man it's locked…"
Beatrice: "I got this." Beatrice walks up to the lock and pulls 2 hair pins from her hair and starts attempting to pick the lock. After a few minutes the door unlocks and swings open
Sora: "Where did you learn that?!"
She stands up and dust herself off
Beatrice: "My father would lock my horses in the stables when I broke my leg when I was younger so I couldn't ride. Took a few tries but I mastered it hehehe"
Hana: "So cool…"
Sora rolls her eyes
Sora: "Snotty rich brat…let's go"
The sneak into the door. They arrive in a small maintenance room. Sora opens the door and peaks out to a large white hallway and several doors
Sora: "We must be here…we're closer to saving Tatski than we thought…let's go."
The girls take off running down the hall attempting to find Tatski. Sora follows her notebook's instructions until they find where Tatski was once being held
Hana: "This is…empty? Where's Tatski?"
Beatrice: "Did your dumbass book not help us this time?!"
Sora: "Shut up! I don't know it's just told me this was the right-"
Footsteps erupt behind them and 6 large armed gaurds appear behind them
Gaurd: "You ladies don't know what you just got yourselves into…."
They all look at the guards with a look of fear before they take off running down the corridors. The guards chase after them before signing an alarm and a red light flashes through the facility
Sora: "I didn't predict this!!!"
[Battle grounds]
The ground shakes from all the different clashes and fights between the different power types. Suyome stands infront of Tatski who's body is fighting while her mind is unconscious
Suyome: "You really need to wake up! We're supposed to be friends helping each other not fighting!"
Tatski lunges at Suyome. Her hair acts as tentacles moving around launching sharp attacks at Suyome. Suyome dodges and keeps her distance.
Suyome: "Fine. I won't kill you but I'll stop this fight!"
Suyome puts her hand on her mouth before removing it and her tounge has a red line down the middle. Tatski lunges forward with a powerful attack
Suyome: "Stop" The command freezes Tatskis body in place. Suyome walks forward and roundhouse kicks Tatski in the jaw launching her backward into the dirt
Tatskis eyes widen as the kick wakes her up and she sits up rubbing her jaw
Tatski: "What the heck happened?…"
Suyome: "Your powers are strong! You just need to learn to control them….no wonder they named you witch…"
Tatski stands up and dust herself off. A large blast erupts behind her and she stumbles forward into Suyome arms. Suyome scowls at the source of the explosion
Suyome: "It's you, Kazi."
Kazi jumps from a tree with a crazed grin while both his hands are on fire.
Kazi: "Siren and the witch…2 of the most promising candidates for the K-team…they said I was too crazy to be apart of the main team…so if I kill you two then my spot will be secured indefinitely."
Tatski: "You're the boy they took when I first got here! The one who was blabbing on about being Gods soldiers!"
Kazi: "Yup that's me…my code name is blast due to my destructive powers…now enough talking…"
Kazi launches at Tatski with both his fist covered in fire and he laughs manically while swinging at her. Tatski drops to the ground in fear and holds her hands up to protect herself
Suyome: "Stop." Kazi freezes in place. He looks around in shock as he can't move or even speak
Suyome: "Kill yourself."
Kazi raises his fire filled fist and punches himself dead in the stomach. His blood splashes on Tatskis face as she watches horrified at the scene. She puts her hands to her mouth and pukes through her fingers
Suyome: "You're gonna get used to it…I promise…"
The arena flashes into a red light and Cujack runs from the observation deck and into the battle zone
Cujack: "The exercise is postponed! We have intruders in the facility. Everyone will be transported back to their quarters immediately."
Cujack presses a button and the field disabling their powers activates. Everyone falls to the ground as a large sound place in the field. It causes people with the genetic mutation to gain powers to be weakened by a certain frequency.
The frequency is stronger against Tatski since she's new to the facility and she passes out almost instantly.
[Other side of the facility]
The girls have been captured and put into custody. Cujack makes her way to their holding cell and walks in with an enraged expression
Cujack: "Who are you people?!"
