Hiro waits outside the school gates hoping to spot Connie. After 15 minutes Connie walks out carrying his suitcase with his usual blank face
Hiro walks up to Connie. Connie looks down at him and sighs
Connie: "Can I help you with something?"
Hiro: "You're Tatski Warri older brother correct?"
Connie nods and stares at him blankly
Hiro: "I wanted to know if she was alright and everyone is worr-"
Connie: "This has nothing to do with you. Tatski is being taken care of right now…stay out of business that doesn't involve you."
Connie starts to walk away but Hiro blocks his path
Hiro: "I overheard your conversation with the police chief! You're going to find a bishop in the northern forest! Well I can help you out with that! I'm from that area and I used to hang out in those woods near the old church!"
Connie: "You were eavesdropping?? How much did you hear?!"
Hiro: "I heard enough to know you need my help! I'm not as strong as you but I'm still reliable in some ways!"
Connie looks visibly angry. He clenches his fist before sighing and walking away
Connie: "Meet at my house at 9pm sharp. Do not be late."
Hiro: "Alright!!!"
Hiro runs off with a huge grin on his face.
[Training Facility]
Tatski sits next to Suyome in a classroom like room. The other 5 candidates sits spread out across the room. Kazi is back…his face now blank and a large scar pokes out from his shirt
Tatski: "I thought…Kazi died…how is he back…"
Suyome: "I told you. We have the technology to bring people back from the dead…a major drawback is memory loss and extreme brain damage."
A man wearing a lab coat walks into the room. Everyone quites down and the man sets a folder on the table up front
Stein: "I am stein. Your group command. I will be explaining how to utilize your powers against a Kaiju and what hurts them."
He opens his folder and starts reading from a long paper
Stein: "Kaiju are immune to ordinary attacks like guns, knives or other tools. They are only hurt by a special mixture of uranium and raw meteorite dust. This combination is put into weapons we call Mu."
Suyome: "So we can't hurt Kaiju without them then? That's kind of a bust don't you think?"
Stein pulls a dagger from his lab coat and places it on the table
Stein: "Kaiju have a large amount of radiation built up in their bloodstreams even though they're from a different planet. Kaiju also can't be seen without people with Yawe."
A boy with short blond hair raises his hand
Mochi: "What in the world is Yawe? Director Cujack never mentioned that!"
Stein: "Cujack is an idiot. Yawe is what powers your abilities. It's a mixture of old cells gaining energy and tranforming into a powerful force. Ordinary people do not possess this feat and this is why you never hear about Kaiju in the news. Normal people can develop Yawe, when this happens they mostly die from rapid cell mutation or cancer as normal people call it"
Tatski stares at Stein as she tries to process this new information she's getting thrown at all at once.
Stein: "To kill a Kaiju you must destroy their Yawe sacks in the inside of their lower abdomen. Without that their bodies will eat itself from the inside out."
Stein demonstrates the movements with his knife. Everyone stares intensely. Tatski pays close attention to the movement he makes
Stein: "You all will get your personalized weapons in a few minutes. Remember you are the future of our society. Good luck…you'll need it."
After a few moments men in white clothes walk into the room pushing trays over various weapons.
Stein: "When I call your name come up and I'll give you your personalized weapon. First we have, Suyome."
Suyome stands up and walks over to the trays. Stein hands her a mouth piece and a small dagger
Stein: "This is a personalized speech amplifier. Since you rely on your voice we thought it fit perfectly with your style. Next…Mochi"
The blonde haired boy stands up and walks over to the tray. Stein hands him 2 large balls and a pair of gloves
Stein: "These gloves control electro magnetic charges you produce. Those spheres are conductors. They will help you manage your energy much better and stronger. Tatskis next."
Tatski stands up and walks up…she stares at the various weapons on the table in awe. Stein hands tatski a katana and a gun
Stein: "We don't have much information on the nature of your abilities…but from what we saw you can control air currents to create powerful slashes that can cut through solid bedrock. The Glock-14 is a secondary weapon. We modified it to where it can shoot your cuts into precise beams hitting a target head on. Next we have…"
Tatski walks back to her seat staring at her new weapons. Suyome grins and pats her on the back
Suyome: "Now we're official! There's 7 more weapons but there's only 7 of us left…3 extra weapons I wonder what's that about…anyways! Let's go kill some Kaiju!"
Tatski smiles and her signature grin finally returns after so long. She's finally adapted to her harsh reality. Shes has accepted her role as Witch…No longer clinging to Tatski Warri…for now anyway…
[Northeast of Osaka, 9:58 pm]
Chief Don, Connie and Hiro all walk through the deep forest holding backpacks and Chief Don carries a rifle. Hiro and Connie talk before they arrive at the abandoned church
Don: "Stay on high alert boys. This could get dangerous…"
Hiro hides behind Connie and Connie readies himself. Don knocks on the door…after awhile it creaks open and an old man peaks out
Micheal: "I've already told you all…I don't have much to spare…if I did I would gladly give you anything you desire…"
Don: "We're not beggers. We came to ask you a few questions."
Micheal sees the badge hanging from Dons backpack and squints his eyes
Micheal: "Do you have a warrant."
Connie: "This isn't police stuff. We just want to ask you about…the S.A.O.S.N.P."
Micheal's eyes widen and he swings the door open.
Micheal: "Come on in…I'll tell you everything I can remember…"
After awhile they're all sitting at a dinning table in the basement of the church
Micheal: "So what do you want to know…I'm an open book."
Don: "Start off by telling us what the organization is…"
Micheal: "Well…it all started in 1989…"
