Seeing that death was imminent, Eddie was still trying to find a way to use his boss Ben's name as a shield to keep himself out of this. Ryan slowly raised his hand toward Eddie.
Then, as Eddie closed his eyes and waited for death, Ryan lightly patted his shoulder.
"You're not bad. From now on, you'll be the exclusive reporter for the Spider Family. Just keep to your usual authentic style..."
"Huh?" Hearing this, Eddie snapped his eyes open, his face full of confusion. "Exclusive reporter for the Spider Family? Me... me?"
The corner of Ryan's mouth curled up.
"That's right, you. Remember, everything must be absolutely authentic. We in the Spider Family keep it real!"
Eddie couldn't help but gasp. He tentatively pointed at the Thugs lying all over the ground and asked, "Does that include reporting truthfully on what happened here today?"
"No..." Ryan shook his head.
Seeing this, a look of 'I knew it' flashed in Eddie's eyes. He thought to himself that no one could possibly disregard their own reputation and allow such negative reports, which would inevitably tarnish their image, to be published.
But Ryan's next words directly shattered Eddie's worldview.
Ryan sneered. "Heh, it's too early to report it now. My purge has only just begun. So, pick up your camera. You need to capture and report every single purge that follows!"
"I want everyone to know the fate of those who dare to talk behind our backs while the Spider Family is fighting off an alien invasion!"
Unlike Homelander, who was cursed by thousands but only dared to imagine killing them with heat vision, Ryan actually took action. After dealing with all the Thugs who had just insulted Gwen and the Spider Family, he still didn't feel satisfied!
Since he was already cleaning out a patch of New York's filth today, he figured he might as well do a thorough job!
So, starting from Harlem, Ryan launched a massacre across New York that was unprecedented since 1921!
Countless Thugs who had taken advantage of the Chitauri invasion to loot, kill, and burn had their heads twisted off by Ryan!
Of course, it wasn't just the Thugs from the streets; no matter the race, even those from the most influential circles, Ryan killed them all without hesitation!
In short, if you committed a crime in New York today, there was no such thing as a judge's sentence. The sentencing phase was skipped entirely, and Spider Monarch himself carried out the executions!
Along the way, Ryan killed in the front while Gwen followed behind. Eddie, being carried by Gwen, held up his camera and continuously recorded every one of Ryan's slaughters.
Eventually, even the U.S. Military couldn't stand it anymore. When the Chitauri invaded, they hadn't sent troops to fight them, but now they remembered to send the army into New York to stop Ryan's atrocities.
However, before the Military's main force could even drive their armored vehicles and tanks into the city, they were ruthlessly blown out of the sky by the Asgardian ships stationed above!
Furthermore, Odin even ordered the Bifrost Bridge to obliterate the very Military Base that had deployed the troops!
In that moment, Odin used his actions to make his stance crystal clear!
Asgard was not here to help humanity, nor were they friends of mankind. Asgard was here solely for Ryan!
Anyone who wished Ryan ill was an enemy of all Asgard!
Under Odin's iron-fisted methods, even the White House went silent, ultimately choosing to turn a blind eye to Ryan's actions.
After all, America couldn't afford to offend a legendary divine kingdom for the sake of a bunch of rioters who deserved to die anyway!
Naturally, there were still some Self-righteous hypocrites who tried to stop Ryan's massacre, claiming that his horrendous slaughter would bring down divine punishment from God.
And then... there was no 'and then.' With one strike from Ryan, the whole World went quiet.
He sent those hypocrites straight to see the God they believed in, letting them ask Him personally for His opinion on the matter.
He wanted to see if God would actually dare to send down any so-called divine punishment!
However, Ryan reckoned they wouldn't actually see God, because Heaven had long since been cast out of the Nine Realms by Odin. Earth's believers couldn't even reach God after they died.
It wasn't until nightfall that this purge, which had swept through all of New York City, finally came to a close.
It wasn't that Ryan had killed every bad person; after all, in a city as 'talented' as New York, bad people were like parasites that could never be fully eradicated.
It was simply that Ryan eventually grew bored of the killing, and the remaining criminals in New York with any shred of intelligence had gone into hiding to wait out the storm, so he finally stopped.
When the final tally was made, the number of rioters who died at Ryan's hand alone was greater than the total number of civilians killed by the entire Chitauri army during the invasion!
Unfortunately, those Self-righteous hypocrites had also been slaughtered by Ryan, so there was no one left to say things like, 'Look at what you've done to the people you were supposed to protect.'
Inside the spacious conference hall of Parker Tower... Ryan sat at the head of the long table. The members of the Spider Family sat in a row to his left, while the Nano Tony quartet, Kingpin, and T'Challa sat in a row to his right.
The Spider Family went without saying; since Ryan, the head of the spiders, was holding a meeting, every member had to be present.
The Nano Tony quartet, as guests from another Universe, were there as observers.
Kingpin attended in his capacity as a director of Parker Industries.
T'Challa was something of an accident; he had suddenly intervened during the fight between Tony and the Green Doctor.
The Hulk had taken over Thor's role from the original Avengers 1, clashing with Tony, while T'Challa had taken over Captain America's role, mediating the battle that had broken out due to a misunderstanding.
As a result, once Tony had calmed down, he brought back both the Green Doctor and T'Challa, who had also cooled off.
