Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: Ryan's head Removal Tutorial

The guys who had been shouting joyfully and pointing fingers at Gwen just a moment ago were now all frozen in place like wooden chickens after Ryan's violent arrival.

"Keep shouting, why did you all stop?"

Ryan coldly scanned everyone around him, his eyes filled with nothing but icy killing intent.

Under his cold gaze, not a single one of the black guys dared to meet his eyes; they all lowered their heads, not daring to make a sound.

"Heh! A bunch of bastards who bully the weak and fear the strong!" Ryan sneered, making no effort to hide the disdain in his voice.

Immediately, Ryan reached out and shot a strand of Silk to wrap around Gwen's waist, pulling her into his embrace. He steadied Gwen's slightly trembling shoulders and made her look directly at the shivering black guys in front of them, whispering softly in her ear:

"Remember, in the future, don't waste your breath on trash like this who serve no purpose other than poisoning the Earth. There's no need to hold back. Every piece of scum like this you eliminate is equivalent to saving ten innocent people in the future!"

"Watch closely, I'll teach you the correct way to handle these scumbags..."

As he spoke, Ryan raised his hands from Gwen's waist and aimed them at the guys in front of him, who were too terrified to move.

In this situation, if it were any other Superhero or even an anti-hero, they might have let it go since these people had already backed down.

But Ryan was different. He wasn't just any anti-hero; he not only bullied the weak and stood up to the strong, but he was also completely uncompromising!

Did they think they'd be fine just because they stayed silent?

Did they think the law doesn't punish the masses?

Go tell it to Satan!

Puchi——————

Two forty-meter giant blades suddenly shot out from Ryan's left and right hands, first skewering the line of guys in front like two sticks of candied haws.

While the other guys watched with terrified eyes, before they could even move their weak legs, Ryan had already swung his blades in a violent horizontal sweep!

Puchi-chi-chi-chi-chi-chi————————

In an instant, heads were flying in the sky, bodies were running on the ground, and blood sprayed from above, dyeing the Earth crimson.

In just a single breath, Ryan's two blades sent countless heads rolling, causing the gathered crowd to stop breathing entirely.

Ryan retracted his twin blades, tilted Gwen's chin up to make her look him in the eye, and grinned: "Now... have you learned?"

Gwen stared at Ryan, whose smile appeared hideous to others, but her large eyes beneath the mask were filled with nothing but admiration: "I've learned!"

Kacha——————

At that moment, the crisp sound of a shutter rang out, accompanied by a flash, instantly shattering the bloody, intimate atmosphere between Ryan and Gwen.

Ryan and Gwen turned their heads toward the direction of the flash almost simultaneously.

"Ho... Shit!!"

Inside the window of the ordinary supermarket Gwen had been protecting earlier, a brown-haired man in a leather jacket was scrambling to hide his camera.

Dong, dong, dong————

However, three crisp taps on the window caused the man who had been secretly snapping photos to freeze. His face turned deathly pale as he slowly and painfully raised his head like a rusted robot.

When he finally lifted his head, which desperately wanted to avoid reality, the man saw Spider Monarch—who had just slaughtered the crowd of heads—standing face-to-face with him, separated only by a layer of glass.

At this moment, only one thought occupied the man's mind:...I'm cooked!!!

Ryan looked at the man, who bore a striking resemblance to Tom Hardy, and narrowed his eyes slightly: "You, come out."

Hearing Ryan's words, the man's legs went weak and he nearly fell to his knees. He looked left and right, trying to see if the other person was calling someone else.

But as he turned his head, he realized that the people who had been crowding the window to watch the commotion with him just a moment ago were all gone.

Those people were now huddled in the corners of the supermarket, looking at him as if he were the god of plagues.

This caused the last sliver of hope in the man's heart to vanish completely.

Despite his intense fear, the man eventually walked out of the supermarket trembling, so as not to involve the other innocent people inside.

Because of this, Ryan took a second look at the miserable-looking man who dared to face his fear.

Ryan glanced at the employee ID hanging around the man's neck and, as expected, saw a familiar name... or rather, two familiar names.

One was the man's name, Eddie Brock.

The host of Venom from the standalone Venom movies.

The second name was the newspaper office Eddie worked for, a name Ryan was even more familiar with.

It was none other than the 'Daily Bugle', co-founded by his father and the 1.5-generation Spider-Man...

He didn't expect that after everything, the Eddie of this Universe would still end up working at the Daily Bugle.

He wondered if this version of Eddie and Peter would have a love-hate relationship over the rights to photograph Spider-Man... though probably not, as the Tom Hardy version of Eddie was much more upright than the Eddie from the first generation of Spider-Man.

However, Ryan intended to confirm this. After letting go of Eddie's ID, he asked calmly:

"Eddie Brock, I've heard of you. A well-known journalist from San Francisco, famous for your absolutely truthful and fearless reporting. Why did you end up working for a small newspaper in New York?"

Seeing that the other party didn't seem to intend to kill him to silence him immediately, Eddie relaxed slightly. Then, as if remembering something unpleasant, he gave a bitter smile:

"Heh, precisely because my reporting was too truthful, I got 'dealt with' for real. A year ago, I stubbornly reported on an illegal human experiment by the Life Foundation, and the next day, I was 'dealt with' by the boss of the Life Foundation..."

"I lost my job, lost my girlfriend, and was blacklisted by the entire industry. No one dared to hire me..."

"Just as my savings ran out and I was about to be kicked out by my landlord and reach the end of the line, I finally found a newspaper three months ago that dared to hire me—the newly opened Daily Bugle here in New York."

"And their hiring requirement was specifically for journalists like me who only report the truth. So I used my last savings to buy a one-way ticket to New York to try my luck. I didn't expect that one of the owners of the Daily Bugle, Mr. Ben Parker, would hire me without hesitation after hearing my story!"

"And Mr. Ben Parker's son is Ryan Parker, the boss of Parker Industries. The Life Foundation wouldn't dare offend another mega-corporation over a nobody like me, so my life gradually started to improve."

"So, taking those photos of you just now was my fault, but it was my personal action and has nothing to do with the Daily Bugle. Parker Industries stands behind the Daily Bugle. You can do whatever you want to me, but please don't involve the boss who saved my life!"
