It had to be said, Ryan had a knack for training dogs; last time, Peter would have argued that his way of killing people indiscriminately was wrong.
This time, Peter had already transitioned to reflecting on his own flaws.
Aside from Peter, the other members of the Spider Family weren't so strictly righteous—some were even former supervillains—so they were even less likely to think Ryan's methods were wrong.
What could be wrong with killing one criminal to save ten, or even more, innocent people?
Seeing that no one in the Spider Family objected to his words, Ryan looked toward Kingpin again:
"Fisk, I'm going to be away for a while. Inform those in the New York underworld that if they don't want me settling scores with them when I get back, they'd better stay fucking quiet during this time!"
Upon hearing this, Kingpin slightly touched his chest. "I will pass your word down, and I will personally crush every gutter rat that tries to profit from this disaster!"
Ryan nodded and said indifferently, "Mm. I remember the New York mayoral election is starting again soon. The current mayor is too incompetent; I don't like him. So when I return, the Spider Family and Parker Industries will support you as the new New York Mayor."
Kingpin's eyes lit up, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl upward.
"Truly, nothing escapes your eyes. I indeed have plans to run for New York Mayor this time. I also guarantee here that once I take office, the New York City Government will fully support you and the Spider Family!"
Three months ago, New York was invaded by the Frost Giant Clan. The New York authorities did nothing, and it was entirely up to the Spider Family to turn the tide. While this made the Spider Family famous in New York, many voices calling the mayor incompetent also appeared, leaving many citizens dissatisfied with the New York Mayor.
This time, the Chitauri had invaded New York on a large scale, yet the New York City Government was just as incompetent as before. In the end, they still had to rely on the Spider Family and even the power of Asgard to resolve the invasion.
Kingpin didn't even need to think to know that the New York Mayor would be cursed like a dog in the aftermath.
And even if no one cursed him, Kingpin would arrange for internet trolls to lead the charge, just like last time.
Because for him, this was an opportunity—an opportunity to go legit that he had wanted for a long time!
Of course, going legit wasn't because Kingpin had found his conscience; it was because he had seen the 'end' of the path he was currently walking.
The title of 'Underground Emperor' sounded impressive, but it was actually the end of the entire underground dark World. Kingpin could no longer progress further on that foundation.
The only way he could continue to advance was to change professions.
From black to gray, and eventually to white.
Climbing onto Ryan's coattails was the best way Kingpin had chosen to change professions.
That was why he had done his utmost to treat Ryan's family well before.
Now, time had proven how correct his previous choice had been!
At this moment, Tony, who was applying an ice pack to the arm injured during the fight with Green Doctor, also raised his hand.
"Since Ryan supports you, my Stark Industries will also support you as the new mayor."
Seeing this, the joy on Kingpin's face grew even more intense, and he also touched his chest toward Tony.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Stark. After I take office, I will also engage in deeper cooperation with Stark Industries!"
Originally, with Ryan's support, his success rate for being elected New York Mayor was already over 90%. Now, after gaining Tony's support, it instantly soared to 100%!
The position of New York Mayor, though the official election hadn't even started, was essentially guaranteed to him in this meeting!
To Ryan, however, this was just a small interlude, not even one of the two serious matters he intended to discuss; it was just a casual mention.
The first serious matter was to keep the members of the Spider Family in check. The second truly serious matter was...
Ryan's gaze turned toward Nano Tony's group on the right, and he said calmly, "Tell them about the situation your Universe encountered. They should all be quite curious."
Upon hearing this, everyone turned their gaze toward the Nano Tony quartet.
As Ryan said, they had long been curious about the experiences of these four variants who were said to come from another Universe.
Tony and Dr. Banner, in particular, felt awkward all over as they looked at the Nano Tony across from them and the Green Doctor who was neither Banner nor Hulk.
It was the kind of discomfort one feels when seeing an impostor with one's own appearance.
The quartet from the other Universe looked at each other, and ultimately chose to let Captain America speak for them.
Captain America didn't use a long-winded way of storytelling but selectively recounted the key events involving Thanos.
For instance, the Battle of New York in 2012 at this point in time was actually a test by Thanos on Earth and an attempt to obtain the Space Stone on Earth.
In their Universe, it was ultimately Tony who carried a nuclear missile into the spatial wormhole to blow up Thanos's Sanctuary II, which led to the death of the countless Chitauri troops on Earth and ended the crisis.
During that time, only one thing was rather strange: after the Battle of New York ended, the arc reactor in Tony's chest malfunctioned once for no reason, which led to Loki escaping with the Tesseract while they were busy treating Tony.
However, they found the Tesseract again later, but Loki never appeared again after that.
Hearing Captain America's words, everyone's reactions varied.
The focus of the others was naturally on Thanos, the mastermind behind the scenes.
Ryan's point of interest, however, was not on the Thanos conspiracy Captain America mentioned, but on the most inconspicuous detail: Loki's disappearance.
Now he could consider it confirmed—the Loki who ran away was the God of Stories currently sitting on the golden toilet!
Aside from the plot of Avengers 1 differing from the original movie because of Loki, the plots of the first halves of Avengers 3 and Avengers 4 from the other Universe's Captain America were similar to what Ryan remembered.
After all, in Avengers 3 and 4, Loki had no significant role and was insignificant since he was crushed to death by Thanos right at the beginning.
After Captain America's narration, the Spider Family and others in Ryan's Universe also learned that there would be so many disasters in the future, and that a terrifying big purple potato was watching Earth from the shadows!
A sense of crisis instantly surged!
But immediately, when everyone saw that steady, tall figure with the same expressionless face in the main seat, that newly risen sense of crisis instantly vanished.
After all, the future of the other Universe was, in the end, just a reference for their Universe; it wouldn't necessarily happen.
Because the Battle of New York in this Universe was simply too different from the one in Captain America's words.
Although Thor still hadn't retrieved his hammer, there was the support of the entire Asgardian Army.
And that Captain America who could hold his own for a couple of rounds against anyone hadn't appeared yet, but there was Ryan, who could tear anyone into two halves.
So even if the future Thanos really came, as long as Ryan was still on Earth, they weren't worried at all that half their Universe's population would be annihilated by a snap of Thanos's fingers.
Instead, it was Thanos who should be worried!
