Chapter 427 - Chapter 1: “Already Booked”

The airport was loud in that familiar, draining way—rolling luggage, announcements, tired travelers, and that strange silence people carry before long flights.

Takeru stood near the group, looking at the two Gojo's like he was about to ask something.

Satoru Gojo

Satoru Gojo

He opened his mouth—

"Are we—"

Both Gojo's cut in immediately.

"Already booked, Takeru."

Silence.

Takeru blinked.

"…Huh?"

The older sorcerers around them reacted instantly like they'd heard a cursed trigger phrase.

Megumi exhaled through his nose.

"…Of course it is."

Nanami just looked away slightly.

"…I should've stayed retired longer."

Hakari grinned like he already knew chaos was inevitable.

Yuji leaned toward Megumi.

"…Why do they know what that means?"

Megumi didn't answer right away.

"…Because they remember the last time."

The younger group just stared.

Confused.

But followed anyway.

Aika tilted her head.

"…Booked for what?"

Yorozu shrugged.

"…Probably something fun."

Angel stayed silent, just watching Takeru carefully.

Uraume didn't react at all, like she was waiting for the universe to explain itself.

On the plane

The cabin was full.

Way too full.

Somehow still functioning.

Takeru leaned back in his seat, looking across the aisle at everyone.

Then he suddenly sat up a bit.

"…Remember how we did before uhm…"

He paused.

"…Malaysia!"

Silence.

The older sorcerers immediately stiffened.

Like a memory they'd agreed to bury had just been unearthed.

Hakari stopped smiling.

Nanami closed his eyes.

Megumi sighed deeply.

Yuji looked between them.

"…What happened in Malaysia?"

Nobody answered him.

The Gojo's exchanged a glance.

Then said at the same time:

"…Shibuya."

Takeru paused.

"…Right."

The younger group froze.

Yuji slowly turned his head.

"…That doesn't sound better."

Hakari leaned toward Kirara and whispered:

"…It's never better."

From somewhere behind them, Fred quietly raised a sign:

"Vacation names are now classified information."

The plane engines roared louder.

And somehow—

everyone prepared for something that hadn't even started yet.
