The plane hummed steadily through the clouds.
Most people were settling in now—some already asleep, others pretending to be asleep, and a few actively regretting every life choice that led them here.
Takeru shifted in his seat.
Looked around once.
Then spoke casually.
"…What day is it?"
Yuji glanced at his phone immediately.
"…October 1st."
Megumi added without looking up.
"…Why."
Hakari stretched in his seat.
"…Does it matter?"
Silence followed.
Takeru didn't respond.
Not a joke.
Not a comment.
Not even a reaction.
He just looked out the window.
The clouds drifted by quietly.
The engine noise filled the space where conversation should've been.
The Gojo's exchanged a brief glance again, but didn't say anything this time.
