Chapter 47 - The Death Of Haruto 2

A/N: I feel like the novel is getting boring. Should I go on hiatus and find inspiration again?

...

Gojo clan.

The room fell into silence for a whole minute before it was broken by Satoru.

"What did you say?" Satoru asked. Though his voice was calm, Haruto could hear the anger beneath it.

"Unfortunately, I can't evaluate," Haruto said, and then he coughed out a mouthful of blood. He looked at Satoru. "It's a binding vow. I shouldn't have told you, but... this... this is retribution for me... Satoru... I'm sor—"

Haruto didn't finish his words as he fell onto the table weakly, his chest still and his face pale—dead.

"Hey!" Satoru called out as he vanished and appeared beside Haruto. He placed his hand on Haruto's back, his hand lighting up with a whitish glow, but no matter how much cursed energy he used, Haruto's chest remained still and his face didn't regain any color.

"..."

Satoru silently removed his hand, silently staring at his father's corpse.

No matter how much hate he had for him for using him like a tool, Satoru still didn't want the man to die unnaturally. After all, he protected him when he was still a baby; he wasn't ungrateful.

"The higher-ups..." Satoru muttered under his breath.

If before he had felt irritation at this group of old men, now he felt rage—pure, unfiltered rage.

But even with that rage, he couldn't act. Though wiping out all high-ranking members of each big clan would kill some higher-ups, it wouldn't be all, and his act of lawless killing would force the jujutsu animosity on him, which would be much higher than when he took Riko away.

"The only way... is to infiltrate the higher-ups." Satoru stared at his father's corpse, then summoned the chat group.

[The honored one: @Slug Sannin, can you help me with the Shadow Clone and Transformation Jutsu?]

[Slug Sannin: Ore? You've sensed chakra, Satoru?]

[The honored one: Yeah, I've sensed it after the first group chat mission, but I haven't found any use for it... until now.]

Though there were numerous overpowered jutsu, that didn't mean Tsunade possessed them. The ones she possessed couldn't increase his power, something Satoru found no use for.

[Unlucky reincarnator: Wahh!!! Is this the gap between genius and mortals?!! So unfair!!! Crying.jpg.]

[I refuse to marry: It's likely due to his Six Eyes. Koneko needed two days just to sense chakra, after all.]

[Unlucky reincarnator: Please... please say no more. Forlorn.jpg.]

[Slug Sannin: I'm sending it to you now, brat.]

Ding!

[Chat group member has sent—Shadow Clone Jutsu and Transformation Jutsu.]

Satoru opened his palm, and specks of light gathered, forming two scrolls.

Satoru opened the scroll and read through the seals for a few seconds. Then he closed the scroll and started forming the same seals. First was the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

[A/N: I don't know if it's logical, but many sources I've searched say it's logical because of his Six Eyes. Is it truly logical?]

Poof!

A white smoke exploded beside him, and a copy of him appeared. Then the clone did hand seals, and with a puff of white smoke, the clone's appearance changed, turning into Haruto.

Satoru stared at his clone for a long time before nodding, and then he vanished.

An hour later.

"Clan head."

A respectful voice sounded from behind the door.

"No one should come in. I need some time alone," Satoru's clone said.

"Clan head, what about the young master?"

The lips of Satoru's clone rose up. "He's already gone."

...

Satoru appeared on a roof five kilometers away from the Gojo clan. Bringing his phone out, he called Suguru.

"Hey, where are you?"

"Satoru? I'm currently taking a mission down in Osaka. Why the sudden interest?"

"Ok. Tell me your exact location."

"...Ok."

After memorizing the location, Satoru kept his phone back in his pocket.

[Unlucky reincarnator: Hey, Satoru, now that I think about it, what do you want to use the Transformation and Shadow Clone Jutsu to do?]

[The honored one: Infiltrate the higher-ups.]

[Unlucky reincarnator: Infiltrate? Why do you want to infiltrate the higher-ups?]

[The honored one: To kill them.]

[Unlucky reincarnator: Eh?! You're serious?! Hey, Satoru, don't be feisty!]

Not only Mio but the others also tried to dissuade Satoru, but he didn't listen. Instead, he closed the chat group.

"Osaka..." Satoru muttered as he vanished.

...

Osaka.

In an abandoned building.

Boom!

A tentacle lashed out, and Suguru barely dodged the attack.

Turning back to the abomination, which seemed to be like a big slime with numerous tentacles, a colorful dragon materialized around him, sending a powerful beam straight at the curse spirit, causing a massive explosion and creating a fierce gale. Unfortunately, his attack was futile, as the place where the beam had struck was enclosed with another black, sludgy slime.

"This thing is not a first grade..." Suguru muttered as he stared at the slimy being with a grim expression.

Swoosh!

The tentacles of the slimy being moved so fast that it appeared like a blur to Suguru, but at the last moment, when it was a few inches from his face, numerous wind blades scattered through the air, accurately decapitating the tentacles.

"You're right..."

A voice and footsteps came from behind him as Satoru walked and stood in front of him.

"It's still a first grade, but it's stronger than a normal first grade... A semi-special grade."

...

A/N: Please drop a Power Stone before leaving.

Arigato!
