A/N: You guys shouldn't be angry if I don't update daily. I don't know why, but my webnovel/inkstone account is having some issues. Sometimes I can't access my books for hours or maybe days. I've complained, but it seemed I was ignored. Anyways, if the account doesn't open in a day, the next day I'll try to update two chapters.
...
An ancient Japanese building.
The entire room was quiet; the higher-ups were left in stunned disbelief.
Target Suguru Geto?
For Riko Amanai—someone he didn't even know for a week—Gojo Satoru had fought the higher-ups. If they targeted Suguru Geto, the higher-ups knew they might just see the blindfolded boy hovering above their clans. Though the higher-ups members' affiliations were obscured, that didn't mean there weren't clues. For example, the decision-making higher-ups were undoubtedly from clans, like the Kamo, Zenin, and Gojo.
"You—I think you should reconsider that plan," an old voice sounded from behind the slidable door.
"Aren't you angry for the blatant disgrace Gojo Satoru has brought to our higher-ups?" the voice said.
"Yes, we're furious, but targeting Suguru Geto... don't you think it's going too far?" another voice said.
"Heh! You must be afraid of the retaliation from Gojo Satoru, right? But what if I tell you this plan is so flawless that he won't be able to detect that it's us acting from behind the scenes?" the voice said.
"You're sure?"
"Of course..." the voice said. "...Now, let me tell you about my plan."
...
Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Satoru walked through the gate and the invisible barrier.
Staring at the buildings scattered through the area, he smiled.
'I'm finally back,' Satoru thought.
But his melancholy thought was interrupted by a dry, female voice.
"Huh. You're back."
Satoru turned and stared at the approaching Shoko, wearing her signature white lab coat, a cigarette dangling from her lips.
Satoru smiled. "Miss me?"
Shoko rolled her eyes. "Principal Yaga is calling you."
"Oh." Satoru nodded and vanished, appearing in front of Shoko. Before she could react, he took the cigarette from her mouth and waved it. "Women shouldn't smoke."
And then he vanished again.
Shoko's lips twitched.
"..."
...
Satoru appeared in front of Masamichi's door and knocked.
"Who's there?" Masamichi's voice came from behind the door.
"It's Satoru."
There was silence for a while before Masamichi spoke again.
"Come in."
Satoru pushed the door and entered.
The room hadn't changed; Masamichi sat behind a table, piles of files lined on it.
"You really were arrogant this time," Masamichi spoke, getting straight to the point.
The day he had heard of Satoru's actions from Suguru, the first thought that came to his mind was: It isn't Satoru.
Because ever since Satoru enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High, he hadn't acted as arrogant and carefree as he did.
"I couldn't let her die," Satoru said with a smile. "...If it weren't for the bigger picture, I would have stopped the Tengen merging entirely."
Masamichi stared at Satoru, and Satoru stared at him. After a while, Masamichi nodded. Even though the higher-ups said he should shout at Satoru, he didn't. Instead, he said a single sentence.
"Don't do it next time."
"No promises," Satoru said with a shrug.
"You can go," Masamichi said.
Satoru nodded and walked out of the office, leaving Masamichi alone.
'He's changing...' Masamichi thought as he stared at the door. 'Just don't know if it's for good or bad.'
...
Satoru walked into their dorm, immediately noticing the absence of Suguru, but he didn't panic like last time. He was used to it, and since Riko didn't die, Suguru spiraling into the path of darkness was highly unlikely.
Satoru stretched as he climbed into his bed. "I really need some rest."
He had been on edge for days; now that he had finally returned, he planned to not take missions for weeks.
Just as Satoru was about to lie down, his phone rang.
Satoru brought out his phone; on the caller ID was the name 'Gojo Clan Driver'.
Answering it, Satoru brought it close to his ear.
"Young master, the head of the family calls for you."
...
The next day.
Satoru, dressed in a white shirt and deep blue trousers, stepped down the long stairs and approached the Maybach. The driver standing outside bowed, " Young master"
"Let's go," Satoru said, and the driver opened the door for him. Only when he stepped inside did the driver go to his own seat, start the car, and drive.
After long hours on the road, Satoru finally stepped down from the car and stared at the massive gate—the entrance of the Gojo clan.
Walking inside the Gojo clan and towards his father's house, members of the clan who saw Satoru immediately bowed in respect, and he gave a nod in response.
After walking, Satoru finally came to a stop in front of the massive Japanese traditional building.
"Father. I'm here," Satoru said after knocking, and Haruto's voice came from behind the door.
"Come in."
Satoru pushed the door and entered.
Haruto knelt behind a table filled with files, with a cup of tea placed on top.
"How have you been, Satoru?" Haruto asked with a smile as he stared at Satoru.
"Okay," Satoru replied expressionlessly as he sat down.
Haruto's eyes flickered with sadness at Satoru's reply.
"You must be busy, so I won't waste your time..." Haruto set the tea aside and stared at Satoru. "The higher-ups want your friend—Geto Suguru—dead."

A/N: I know what I'm about to say might make me lose a lot of readers, but... Satoru will become arrogant—not OG Satoru-level arrogant, but arrogant. With an overpowered ability, no normal person would stay cowardly or cautious, and I'm trying to make my novel at least incorporate the reality of human emotion. Not only that, but also because of some missions, so yes, say goodbye to his cautious nature. For those who don't like arrogant MCs, I'm sorry.
