Chapter 12 - Volume 1 Epilogue

The young boy, during his pre-school years, spent his time alone with no friends and only family to watch over him.

He did not spend time with anyone but his mother, father, and grandparents from both sides.

The young boy was the type to just be watching TV most of the time, and playing at the playground with his grandparents and biological auntie watching over him.

The young boy throughout his time in his first three years were nothing more than him making some temporary friend ships and only until he was in his fourth year was he approached by three guys who wanted to be his friends, but the young boy did not question why he was randomly invited to be their friend, but they had no bad intentions as they truly did wanted a fourth member in their group.

These four inseparable groups of boys have spent their time at school and home hanging out and messing around with each other.

The fourth year for the young boy was filled with exciting moments as in this four-man friend group, they all studied together, ate together, hung out together in different parts of the campus and in their shared classrooms.

The young boy played games with them and even talked about their families, interests, and even their favorite food.

He had a great moment throughout the year.

Ren, So-mang, and Hao Xian were unable to meet him during Christmas break due to them being made to spend time with their families without any additional people coming over most of the time, as each of their parents wanted to spend time with their respective members of their family.

The young boy did not mind and was actually comfortable with that.

The young boy was not the type to actually enjoy people coming over to his house or going over to other people's houses, though he had seen these types of things happening in the TV shows he used to watch.

His not being able to hang out with them did not bother him until the moment he was invited to their houses to hang out.

He even met their family members from the moment their fourth year was about to end, and he made it feel like he was part of the family.

The young boy had a great time until those moments seemed to go bad as his anger issues iover Nanami's mistake and constant fear and guilt that happened at the beach have been the main factors that have ruined the friendships he established throughout his fourth year and summer vacation, despite some blame going to the other for the beach trip the young boy no matter how many times he tired could not blame any of them for getting mad or rather he was more angry that they yelled at him and made him cry.

He was glad to have spent time with his Yuna-nee, who became like an older sister to him, and Hao Xian, his friend who stuck by him.

His Auntie Eun-hee, as well, watched over him like his parent while his mother and father were absent from home doing their work.

He got a small dog that he called Reyon.

Through Reyon, he met up with Ren and was able to make up with them...he was able to make up with Yuiko and Riko, who treated both the young boy and Hao Xian as if they were their actual brothers.

They all had sleepovers, the young boy got lost one time, and he ate ice cream in a very cold and nice place with his Auntie Lunette and Yuiko-chan.

He spent his days with seven of them, and he was fine with that, but still, he was upset he never got the chance to make up with the others, but that was not the main issue now.

It was currently the young boy's fifth year, and about a few weeks had passed since school started. He was not in the same classroom as Ren, So-mang, or Hao Xian, though they occasionally came by the hangout and talked to him; he was not able to spend time with them often in the classrooms at school.

So with that, he had to deal with his new classmates on his own, without them by his side, as they could not always be in that very classroom the young boy was in.

He was currently alone on his own despite the many guys in his classroom.

The young boy spent time trying to make friends, although he was perhaps too kind and friendly, as he began to get targeted by a group of boys who wanted to make the young boy feel bothered and rattled every day, and so the young boy tried to ignore them, much to their dismay, but they would not stop.

They were bullying not with physical abuse or verbal insults, but plain bad teasing, not the type you do with friends, but the point was to make the target feel even more miserable.

He experienced and met boys who were either nice and smart, loud and popular, or normal and mean.

Because of his constant worries and his study habits getting increasingly bad as the weeks go by, and of course, this affected his grade, which made his mother and father disappointed and worried at first, but then they became angrier as he kept on failing.

The young boy at school and at home hung out with Ren and Hao Xian more often as he felt more comfortable hanging out with them, and because of these many boys, he now realizes what the parents and siblings of Ren, Hao Xian, and So-mang meant when they found out the young boy was different from the other guys at school.

They are still the arrogant and show-off students he knows and accidentally got involved with.

Ren and Hao Xian understood his predicament and did their best to encourage him to keep going.

The moment the young boy was constantly failing in his studies, they wanted to ask their Yuna-nee and Riko-nee for help, but Yuna-nee was busy dealing with her duties at her school, and Riko-nee had begun enrolling for cram school to help her study for her high school entrance exams that would come about next year or so.

Yuna-nee and Riko-nee did not know about this, as the moment the young boy heard this, he refused.

Ren and Hao Xian could not teach him either, as they each had a different teacher for different subjects and did not understand either the basic concepts.

They also did not know how to properly teach him or help him study, as their subjects, assignments, and tests differ depending on the teacher or classroom.

Ren and Hao Xian could only hold study sessions.

Meanwhile, So-mang did not hang out with the young boy but hung out with Ren, Hao Xian, or at the same time, but he refused to hang out with the young boy.

He did not know why, but his constant avoidance of him made the young boy feel hurt and mad at him.

He spent his days hanging out with Ren and Han Xiao, while also struggling to catch up or study for the many subjects, assignments, and tests he had been having over the past few weeks.

This might be the longest school year for the young boy, and he wished to go home, avoid his classes, and simply not be at school, where he had to suffer from his failing academics, bad study habits, and the many people taking advantage of his kindness, messing with him, and gaslighting him to make fun of him more.
