Hi! I'm Lunette. I'm a university student currently pursuing a BA programme with major in English. I love to write poems and stories; I aspire to be a poet and a storyteller. My family lives out of town, and it's thanks to them that I'm able to pursue my dream. They support and love me a lot. My parents have three children, and I'm the middle child. Even though I am not the youngest, I am still treated like one because of my immaturity. Today is the 25th of February, My first day at the university, and I'm very excited to learn, to make new friends and enjoy this new life. It's spring; the wind is blowing gently to impress my hair, the cherry blossoms are falling for me; the sun is a little sweeter to me today, and the clouds with the river are showing off their beautiful blue hues to mesmerize my eyes. I was walking, feeling all this eternal beauty, heading towards my university with a calm and happy mood.
Lunette: Oh! The weather feels wonderful today. I'm so lucky to feel and experience all this as a human. I hope this life continues to be gentle to me. And as for love? I think it's better to stay away from love, romance and relationships. It's better to just live a simple life with few close people, or even to live peacefully alone. I don't want to give my heart to anyone, for I'm afraid of being hurt like that again. There is something buried deep Inside my heart that I'm afraid to uncover. Now, I'm like a new person but with lost memories; memories that, if they return, would damage my very core.
(Lunette spots a stray cat, it's fur matted but it's eyes bright; she kneels, and a soft, genuine smile tugs at her lips as she starts to cuddle the creature passionately. The cat purrs deeply, a vibration she feels against her palms. She stands, taking a deep, steadying breath, feeling a sudden, warm embrace for the vibrant world surrounding her. Seeing a grandmother struggling, she rushes over with a kind sparkle in her eyes, her hands steady as she helps carry the heavy bags to the store. As she resumes her walk toward the university, there is a lightness in her step. She moves with a gentle grace, her gaze lingering on the blooming flowers and the blue sky, smiling radiantly as she embraces the quiet rhythm of the morning.)
Lunette: (In her mind) The world feels so slow and gentle (A peaceful sigh escapes her lips). I want to continue this walk until I reach my destination of surrendering (Her eyes soften as she looks at the path ahead). This nature, these creations of the God and everything around me are embracing me in their arms of beauty (She closes her eyes, feeling a light breeze). Beauty of pureness, kindness, innocence and surrendering. I want to continue this sweet, simple life of mine (A faint, genuine smile plays on her face) until there's no more of me left in this world.
