Kaya breathed a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, Ava understood and didn't blame her, she silently resolved to return five million back to Ava. She had taken some money from the second bag so the bag in her car should have more than five million.
"I received a call with an address and was threatened not to call the police. So I took the money to the address but when I entered inside, someone knocked me unconscious, by the time I woke up, the money was gone and I could not find mom". Kaya continued as she twisted the truth a little, after all she could not tell them what really happened there.
"Thankfully it's only five hundred thousand" Thomas chirped in, "It's okay… I will give it back to you" he spoke with a smile.
Kaya forced a smile at him before continuing "we went back there to try and find mum but everything had been cleared, there was not even a piece of furniture, so… we left"
