Kaya headed outside to her car to get the money bag when she spotted Zachary and Madeline whispering who knows what to themselves, so she walked over "Sister" enlightenment seemed to have struck Kaya all of a sudden as tears welled up in her eyes but she forced a smile and kept blinking rapidly to stop her tears from falling.
Her voice trembled " I'm sorry for my reaction earlier. I was just concerned about mom, I feel so guilty for…"
Madeline interrupted the act "I'm going upstairs, bye… baby" she smiled throwing Zachary a flirtatious wink.
She headed upstairs leaving Kaya standing awkwardly alone like a clown. Zachary had been asking her questions earlier about Ava. She suspected he knew something but she didn't want to stick around to find out as the man seemed to know everything and Kaya's presence gave her the perfect opportunity to excuse herself.
Kaya stared at the stairs wishing she could throw Madeline down from where she stood.
