As soon as she hung up, Evelyn's gaze drifted to the crystal glass of red wine Michael was holding. She unconsciously licked her lips. The rich, vibrant liquid in his glass looked exceptionally bright and delicious.
Catching the inadvertent, seductive flick of her tongue against her lips, Michael's eyes instantly darkened. He took a slow sip of the red wine, then stepped directly in front of her, leaning down with an intense, magnetic pull.
Predicting his bad intentions, Evelyn quickly leaned backward to evade his advance.
"Go inside and change into one of the dresses," he whispered darkly against her ear.
Evelyn's face instantly flushed crimson. "You shameless man!" she gasped, jumping right out of the chair and trotting back into the bedroom to hide.
When Evelyn finally emerged back onto the balcony clad in a pristine white silk dress, Michael froze in place, his wine glass suspended mid-air.
