The next few weeks the three began training and slowly improved their techniques and combat "ok thats it for today" kenji said
"Ok master" the three replied as they began to rest "hey i bought some food for us to eat" amaya said as she took out sandwiches from her bag
"Thanks amaya" kaito saod as he began eating "these are delicious" akari added taking another bite on her sandwich
"Since your skills have improved, i was thinking you all could take the afternoon off" kenji interrupted "okay master kenji" everyone replied
"Master kenji do you want some food?" Amaya asked handing him the bag of sandwiches "thank you amaya" kenji said as he took one and left
"What should we do this afternoon?" Akari asked "well why don't we wander around the village" kaito replied
So the three began wandering around the village for a while "Akari, kaito i have to go" amaya said as she rushed back without another word
"Do you know where she's going?" Kaito asked as he glanced over at akari "i don't know" akari replied
Not long after night came and kaito and akari decided to head back to their rooms to find amaya already there
"Where have you been amaya?" Akari asked as they got in "i just have a little headache thats all" amaya replied as she drift off to sleep while kaito and akari lay in their beds trying to sleep
"They must be asleep now" akari thought to herself as she quitely got down her bed and went to the bookshelf
"There it is" she mumbled quietly as she took a book out and flipped through the pages
"This will help me master fire manipulation" akari said as she opened the window and jumped out not knowing kaito was still awake and followed her
Soon kaito found himself in the same river from last time where akari was training her fire manipulation
"You sure have an obsession with sneaking out of our room" kaito said as he approached Akari
"Kaito?! what are you doing here?!" Akari asked as she froze "saw you sneak out again" kaito answered
"So you really are the hybrid" kaito chuckled as he got closer "why are you here anyway" akari asked as she took a step back
"No reason" kaito shrugged "you know i could help you with your fire manipulation training" kaito said taking a step closer
"Fine i guess" akari replied. Soon kaito began teaching her how to control her fire and demonstrating fire manipulation techniques to her
"Is this right" akari asked as she did a fire attack "yeah just fix your form" kaito said as he fixed her position
After about two hours of training, they finally sat down and took a break "your a fast learner akari" kaito said as he sat beside her
"Well thanks" akari replied blushing "can i ask you a few questions?" Kaito asked as he looked at the stars
"Sure" akari replied as she lay down in the grass "i want to know about your past" kaito said shyly
"Well i don't think i want to talk about it" akari replied "oh that's okay" kaito said as he got up "what about you?" Akari asked
"I just grew up in an orphanage" kaito answered "what orphanage?" Akari asked as her eyes widened
"The one in between Lunaris and Solana" kaito replied "wait are you the boy with no name?" Akari asked shocked
"Yup. Took you long enough little jewel" kaito replied chuckling "you knew about me all along?" Akari asked still shocked
"Yeah, i figured it out as soon as i saw your mismatched eyes and bracelet that i gave to you" kaito said as he ruffled her hair
"Why didn't you tell me then?" Akari asked "i just wanted to surpass you" kaito replied shrugging his shoulders
"Well i missed you" akari said as she hugged him tight "missed you too little jewel" kaito replied hugging her back "its getting late, lets head back" kaito said as he got up
"Oh right" akari said as she got up and walked right next to him. As the two lay back in bed kaito began thinking "good night little jewel" kaito mumbled as he glanced over at akari "I'll never let you go again" he added as he turned to sleep
The next day the three woke up to chaos and screaming from outside only to find guards from solana and ren in the village
"Its them again" akari said as she looked out the window "we should help the villagers" kaito said as all three of them rush down and out the building to see a lot of guards
"Ah looks like we meet again princess" ren said as he saw akari "stay away from her" kaito said as he glared at ren
"Don't worry, were here for the hybrid" ren said as he pointed at akari while the guards tried to capture her
"Run akari!" Kaito shouted as he began attacking the guards while akari began to run when she noticed that ren and another girl began chasing her
"Come here hybrid" the girl said as she launched an attack the akari quickly dodged. Soon akari faced a two versus one fight against ren and the girl
"Corner her Daki" ren said as he began launching attacks nonstop at akari while slowly backing her towards the forest
"Water dragon" Akari shouted as she summoned a water dragon that began attacking ren while daki began attacking her
"There's no use in fighting them, they're too strong" akari thought as she blocked daki's attacks.
The two kept fighting, launching water attacks and fire attacks at each other.
"Surrender now, your outnumbered" daki said as she launched a fireball heading in Akari's direction
"Water wave" akari said as a wave washed out the fire, creating a thick smoke allowing akari to escape when daki came up to her from behind and managed to wound her using a kunai
"Fire breath" akari said as she blowed flames from her mouth that shocked the two. "How is she able to control fire" the two of them thought. Eventually ren defeated Akari's water dragon and joined daki in attacking akari
Soon they managed to back her to a clif "fireball" ren said as he launched a fireball on the rock akari was standing on causing her to fall
Akari didn't have time to react before she fell off the cliff and hit her head in a rock that caused her to lose consciousness
"Should we take her back to the palace" ren asked "leave her. She'll die anyway" daki replied walking away while ren followed
