"Jay…" his voice was low, "don't say things like that."

He stepped closer.
Slow.
Controlled.
But I could see it—
That control slipping.
"You're testing me," he said.

"You shouldn't."

We were too close now.
No space.
No distance.
No excuses.
My heart was racing.
But I didn't move.
Didn't step back.
"Last chance," he said quietly.

He didn't stop.
His hand moved—
Firm on my waist.
Pulling me closer instantly.
I barely had time to react before—
He kissed me.
Not like before.
Not careful.
Not slow.

Like all the holding back from the past days just broke at once.
I grabbed his shirt again without thinking.
Pulling him closer.
As if there was still space.
There wasn't.
My back lightly hit the wall.
And that only made it worse.
"Keifer—" I tried.
But it didn't sound like stopping.
His hand tightened slightly.
Then paused.

That was the only thing stopping him from going further.
Keifer's POV
I lost it.
Completely.
She didn't stop.

I wouldn't.
I pulled back.

She looked at me.
Confused.

"I can't—" I ran a hand through my hair, "I can't do this like this."

"I don't want to cross something we can't fix," I said.
Jay's POV
That hurts.
Not because he stopped.

He looked scared.
"…You think this is a mistake?" I asked.

"Then why stop?"
He stepped closer again.
But this time—
Different.
Calmer.
"Because I don't want you to regret it later."
"I won't."
"You don't know that."
"I do."
Silence.
"I trust you," I said.
That again.
That word again.
His expression softened.
But still—
Careful.
"And I trust you," he said, "that's why I'm stopping."
That line—
I couldn't even argue with it.
I exhaled slowly.
"…You're annoying."
"I know."
But I stepped closer again anyway.
Resting lightly against him.
Not intense this time.
Just close.
And he held me.
Not tight.
Not rushed.
Just—
There.
For a moment—
Everything felt steady again.
Interruption – Chaos Returns
Knock.
Loud.
Sudden.
"OPEN THE DOOR," Felix shouted.
David: "Stop screaming."
Ci.n: "We need to plan night games."
Rakki: "He won't stop shouting."
Calix: "Open it."
We both froze.
Keifer looked at me.
I looked at him.
"Give me a second," he said.
"YOU ALREADY TOOK TEN," Felix replied.
I moved away quickly.
Trying to act normal.
Fixing my hair.
My expression.
Everything.
Keifer opened the door.
Felix walked in immediately.
Stopped.
Looked between us.
"…Something happened."
"No," I said instantly.
David walked in behind him.
"Something definitely happened."
Ci.n entered, eyes wide. "Why are you both so quiet?"
Calix leaned against the wall. "Suspicious."
Drew: already smiling.
Rakki crossed her arms. "Explain."
I looked at Keifer.
He looked at me.
"…Nothing," we both said.
Same time.
Felix: "LIARS."
"Okay wait," Felix said, sitting on the bed, "we need to talk."
David: "About what?"
"About THEM."
He pointed at us.
"No," I said.
"Yes," Felix said.
Ci.n sat down like a kid ready for a story. "Tell."
Calix: "Let them speak."
Drew: "This is getting good."
Rakki looked at me directly.
"You like him."
"…Yes."
"That much?"
Silence.
I didn't answer.
That was enough.
Felix screamed. "OH MY GOD."
David: "We already knew."
Then—
Aries.
At the door.
And everything stopped.
Aries Enters
He looked around.
Everyone.
Then me.
Then Keifer.
"…What's going on?"
No one spoke.
Felix opened his mouth.
David covered it instantly.
"I asked something," Aries said.
My heart started racing again.
Not like before.
Different.
Tense.
"We were just talking," I said.
He looked at me.
Long.
Carefully.
"…With the door locked?"
Silence.
Keifer stepped forward.
"She was fine."
"I didn't ask you," Aries said.
The tension snapped instantly.
"I'm answering anyway," Keifer replied calmly.
"Don't," I whispered.
But it was too late.
Aries stepped closer.
"You think I don't see what's going on?"
No one moved.
No one spoke.
"I trusted you," he said to me.
"I didn't do anything wrong," I replied.
He looked at Keifer again.
"I told you to be careful."
"I am," Keifer said.
"Doesn't look like it."
That hit.
Hard.
Jay's POV
"Aries, stop," I said.
"No," he replied. "I'm not stopping."
"Why are you acting like this?" I asked.
"Because I know how this goes."
"That's not fair."
"It is."
I stepped forward.
"You don't get to decide everything for me."
Silence.
That line—
That changed something.
Aries looked at me.
Not angry.
Not shouting.
Just—
Serious.
"…You're growing up," he said.
"I already did."
Another silence.
Then—
He exhaled slowly.
"…Fine."
Everyone blinked.
"Fine?" Felix whispered.
David: "Don't ruin it."
Aries looked at Keifer one last time.
"If she gets hurt—"
"She won't," Keifer said.
Aries didn't reply.
Just turned.
And walked out.
Aftermath
Silence.
Then—
Felix: "THAT WAS INSANE."
David: "You almost died."
Ci.n: "I was scared."
Calix: "Handled well."
Drew: laughing.
Rakki looked at me.
"You're serious about him."
"…Yeah."
She nodded slowly.
"Okay."
Everyone slowly left.
Still talking.
Still reacting.
Door closed again.
Silence returned.
I looked at Keifer.
"…That escalated."
"Yeah."
I stepped closer.
Again.
"You didn't back down."
"Neither did you."
I smiled slightly.
"…Good."
He looked at me.
That same look again.
"Jay…"
"Hm?"
"We're really doing this."
I nodded.
"Yes."
And this time—
No hesitation.
No confusion.
Just—
Us.
