Jay's pov
By the time we reached, it was almost 10 in the morning and everyone looked like a complete mess. Hair ruined, eyes sleepy, bags everywhere, but energy? Still full. The moment the bus stopped.
Felix literally jumped from his seat like someone released him after years and shouted, "FINALLY, I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE IN THAT BUS." David pushed him lightly and said "You say that every time,".
Ci.n almost tripped while getting down and blamed the bus driver for it.
Rakki just stood there shaking her head, Calix was laughing with Mica, and Drew was already recording everything like some documentary.
I stepped down slowly, stretching a little, and before I could even adjust my bag, Keifer took it from my hand without asking.
"I can carry it," I said, looking at him, but he didn't even reply and just walked ahead like it was obvious.
I rolled my eyes but followed him anyway. Aries and Ella were already standing near the gate, and the moment Aries saw me, his eyes went straight to Keifer, then back to me. He didn't say anything, just gave that look and turned away. I hate that look.
"Welcome to my house," Keifer said casually as we entered, and honestly, even though I had been here before, it still felt unreal. The mansion looked even bigger in daylight. Everyone reacted differently—Felix screamed, "THIS IS NOT A HOUSE, THIS IS A PALACE,".
Ci.n ran inside like a child, David whistled.
Rakki said, "Control yourself," and Calix just said, "Not bad," like it was normal.
Freya smiled softly while Edrix stood near her, acting normal but clearly not normal.
"Rooms?" Mica asked, and that was enough to start another chaos.
"I am not sleeping alone," Ci.n declared.
"Who asked you to?" Rakki replied instantly.
"I am sleeping with Jay," Ci.n said confidently.
"No, you are not," Keifer said at the same time.
I looked between both of them. "Can I decide?" I asked, and Felix immediately said, "No, we decide for you," making everyone laugh.
"Guys, relax," Denzel said, but even he was smiling, "We'll divide rooms properly."
"Properly? There are like twenty of us," Drew added.
"Exactly, so adjust," Rory said, leaning against the wall.
In the end, after ten minutes of unnecessary argument, shouting, and random decisions, everyone somehow settled. Or at least pretended to. I was still standing there when Keifer came near me and said quietly, "You're coming with me." I looked at him. "That wasn't a question, was it?" He smirked a little. "No."
I didn't argue.
Keifer's pov
Everyone was loud, messy, and completely out of control, but my focus was somewhere else. I took her bag to my room and dropped it on the bed, then turned to see her standing near the door, looking around like she was thinking something.
"You've been here before," I said.
"Yeah, but it still feels different," she replied.
I walked closer. "Different how?"
She shrugged slightly. "Now it's… ours?"
That caught me off guard for a second. I didn't reply immediately, just looked at her, then said, "Yeah. Ours."
Before things could get quiet again, the door suddenly opened without knocking and ci.n barged in. "I KNEW IT, YOU TWO ARE HERE—" he stopped mid-sentence, looked at us, then smirked, "Should I come later?"
"Get out," I said.
"Rude," he replied, but didn't leave.
Jay picked a pillow and threw it at him. "OUT."
"Okay okay, I'm going, but lunch is in 20 minutes, don't do anything illegal," he added before running away, laughing like an idiot.
She sighed and sat on the bed. "He is so annoying."
"You like him," I said.
"Sometimes."
Jay's pov
Lunch was chaos. Not normal chaos. Extreme chaos. Everyone was talking at the same time, arguing, laughing, stealing food from each other. Even the quiet ones weren't quiet today.
"Why is this so spicy?" Mica complained.
"Because it's food," David replied.
"That doesn't answer anything."
"Then don't eat."
"Give it to me," Felix said and took her plate.
"Felix!"
Rakki was arguing with Ci.n because he kept switching seats, Calix and Edrix were discussing something serious but got interrupted every two seconds, Rory was teasing Drew, Freya was laughing, and even Aries was slightly smiling while Ella was talking to him.
I was sitting quietly for a moment when Keifer leaned closer and said, "You're too quiet."
"I'm observing," I replied.
"Observing what?"
"Your crazy friends."
"They're your friends too."
I smiled slightly. "Unfortunately."
After lunch, no one rested like normal humans. Instead, someone suggested games.
"Treasure hunt," Drew said.
"Yes!" Ci.n jumped.
"Inside the house?" Rakki asked.
"Whole property," Rory replied.
That got everyone excited.
"Okay listen," Edrix said, taking charge for once, "We'll split into teams."
"No cheating," Calix added.
Felix raised his hand. "Define cheating."
"Don't be yourself," David replied.
Teams were made somehow.
I ended up with Keifer, Ci.n, and Freya. Honestly, worst combination.
The game started, and within minutes it turned into madness. Ci.n was running everywhere without thinking, Freya was trying to follow clues properly, I was somewhere in between, and Keifer was just watching everything with that calm expression.
"Clue says near water," Freya said.
"There's a pool," I replied.
We ran there, but another team was already there.
"MOVE," Ci.n shouted.
"No," Calix replied.
"You move."
"You move."
"FIGHT," Felix shouted from behind.
I rolled my eyes. "This is useless."
Keifer grabbed my wrist lightly. "Come."
We went to another side, and somehow found the next clue faster.
"Smart," I said.
"I know," he replied.
By evening, everyone was exhausted but still not done. Music started playing, some were dancing, some were just sitting and talking, some were teasing couples non-stop.
"Edrix, say it again," Felix teased.
"I already said it," Edrix replied.
Freya smiled, clearly embarrassed.
"Say what?" Ci.n asked.
"Nothing," Freya said quickly.
"Something is definitely happening," I said.
"Focus on your own story," David replied.
Keifer looked at me. "We are the main story."
I pushed him slightly. "Shut up."
When everything finally calmed down a little, I went to the room. My body was tired, but my mind wasn't.
He came in after a few minutes and closed the door.
"You survived the chaos," he said.
"Barely."
He walked closer and sat beside me. "You enjoyed it."
"…Maybe."
Silence for a moment.
Then he leaned slightly closer. "You're different today."
"How?"
"More… comfortable."
I looked at him. "Maybe I am."
He didn't reply, just watched me again like always, and for a second, everything slowed down.
"Jay," he said quietly.
"Hm?"
He came closer and kissed me. I responded with same passion.
Then we cuddled.
No jokes. No teasing.
Just real.
Then we remember that we have to go down stairs again.
