The digital clock on the marble nightstand clicked to 2:00 A.M. The mansion, a sprawling fortress of glass and steel in the hills of Bhilai, was silent—except for the frantic beating of two hearts. Inside the master suite, a nightmare was unfolding with calculated precision.
Aaryan was locked in a brutal, one-sided struggle on the balcony. The intruder, a tall silhouette with skin like ink and eyes that pulsed with a rhythmic, blood-red light, moved with a speed that defied human physics. He was the same "Watcher" assassin Aaryan had supposedly incinerated nights before.
Simran was jolted awake by the sound of a heavy body hitting the floor. She sat up, her heart hammering against her ribs, and let out a stifled scream. Aaryan, the "Invisible God" who had single-handedly saved her from a highway pile-up, was being broken. He was pinned against the glass railing, dark energy coils wrapping around his throat.
"Simran... help me!" Aaryan's voice was a jagged rasp, filled with a raw, terrifying desperation she had never heard before. "I can't... reach the System... Save me!"
Simran froze. Dari hui thi—she was paralyzed by a primal, soul-deep terror. Her high-IQ brain, capable of solving the most complex calculus in seconds, was failing to find a logical escape from this supernatural violence.
"Aaryan! What do I do? I don't have your strength!" she cried, her voice cracking.
"Use your System!" Aaryan yelled as the intruder slammed his head into the railing. "I'm transferring 2,000 SC Coins to your account right now! Buy a combat skill! Buy a weapon! Anything!"
THE GHOST'S ULTIMATUM
The attacker stepped further into the moonlight, his face a twisted mask of the boy who had self-destructed. Simran's mind spiraled in confusion—she had seen him turn to ash. How is he alive? Is he an immortal?
The intruder ignored her thoughts, tightening the shadow-noose around Aaryan's neck until the boy's face turned pale. "If you want to see your 'Mastermind' draw another breath, you will do exactly what I say," the boy hissed. "Are you ready to make a sacrifice for your God?"
"Yes!" Simran screamed, tears streaming down her face. "I'll do anything! Just let him go!"
"No! Simran, run!" Aaryan shouted, but the boy silenced him with three brutal, bone-crunching punches to the jaw. Aaryan's eyes rolled back, and his body went limp, suspended only by the intruder's grip. He was unconscious.
Simran's logic finally kicked in, but it was a cold, hopeless logic. If he could defeat Aaryan so easily, my level-one freezing power is a joke, she thought. I have to play his game to keep Aaryan alive.
The intruder's voice turned predatory. "I want to spend this night with you. I believe a genius like you understands exactly what I am asking. If you agree... he lives. If you refuse... I drop his corpse into the valley below."
Simran felt a wave of cold nausea wash over her. She looked at Aaryan's broken form and then back at the monster. "I understand," she whispered, her soul feeling like it was being hollowed out. "I am ready."
THE REVEAL OF THE ARCHITECT
They moved toward the bed. Every instinct in Simran told her to fight, to scream, to use her Absolute Zero power, but the image of Aaryan's dead body held her back. The boy came close, his dark aura smelling of ozone and death.
He began to systematically remove her clothes—her top, then her jeans. Simran closed her eyes tight, shaking with a mix of shame and rage. But as his hand reached for her bra, the air in the room suddenly changed. The temperature returned to normal.
Instead of a touch, a heavy chader (blanket) was thrown over her shoulders. Simran snapped her eyes open. The intruder was gone—dissolved into pixels of blue light.
Standing by the balcony was Aaryan. There was no blood on his face, no bruises on his jaw. He stood tall, his hands in his pockets, his eyes glowing with the cold, calculating light of the Architect.
"It was a psychological simulation," Aaryan said, his voice flat and devoid of any apology. "You need to learn self-dependence. If a real enemy used me as a hostage, you would have surrendered your dignity and your life without a single tactical counter-move."
THE COST OF A SECOND KISS
Simran's shock flashed into a white-hot, uncontrollable fury. She lunged at him, her fists striking his chest repeatedly. "Why?! Why would you put me through that? I thought you were dying! I was ready to lose everything for you!"
Aaryan caught her wrists with effortless strength. "How could I trust you fully?" he asked, his gaze unyielding. "You are a genius with a System living in my home. If I didn't test your loyalty to the breaking point, you could have been a sleeper agent for the Watchers, ready to kill me in my sleep."
"Why would I ever hurt you?" she sobbed, her strength failing.
"I didn't have that data until five minutes ago," Aaryan replied, his grip softening. "Now I have it. You are loyal to a fault. My trust in you is now 100%."
Simran collapsed against his chest, her tears soaking his shirt. "Don't ever do that again. Never."
"I won't," Aaryan promised, a rare hint of warmth entering his tone. "Now, let's sleep. I've seen enough for one night."
Simran nodded, drained of all energy. As they lay back down, Aaryan did something that shattered her expectations. He moved close, his arm wrapping around her waist as he pulled her face toward his. He kissed her—not a quick peck, but a deep, long kiss that acknowledged her sacrifice.
Simran went totally blank. This was the second kiss, but the first one Aaryan had initiated without being forced or tricked. When he finally pulled away and closed his eyes, Simran lay there, her face a deep, burning crimson. Shaming (She was blushing with intense shy embarrassment). He finally trusts me, she thought as sleep claimed her. I am truly his Queen.
THE MASTERMIND'S RESOLVE
Beside her, Aaryan was not asleep. He was staring into the darkness, his mind already building a new training regimen. She passed the loyalty test, but her combat stats are pathetic, he thought. If the 'Dark Aura Girl' I saw in my vision appears at school tomorrow, Simran won't last a second.
He pulled up the System's admin panel. [PROJECT: EVOLUTION. GOAL: MAKE SIMRAN AS POWERFUL AS THE ARCHITECT.]
I will make her a Goddess, Aaryan vowed. Tomorrow, at the Maths test, the world begins to change.
