Chapter 17 - chapter 17

Brielle

Throughout the night, I couldn't stop thinking about what the alpha had said. Other than being his Luna, was there really a reason why Dylan wants me?

Does mom know about it? If she did, why didn't she tell me about it?

"Blair, I don't know what's going on. I think I'm going crazy with all the shits happening in my life." I whispered, wishing Blair would miraculously appear and tell me what the fuck was going on.

But as expected, I got no reply, it felt like I was speaking to myself and with a sigh, I let sleep transport me to the only place where I could get peace.

Peeling my eyes open, I exhaled deeply as I forced my weak limbs into the restroom, taking my bath as soon as possible.

I made it in time to Elena's room where I stood outside, bracing myself for a long day of constant insults and torture.

More than two hours passed and my weak legs were beginning to give way. Maids and guards stared at me as they passed, a few filled with pity while the others snickered, happy that they weren't in my situation.

"Brielle, I need you to get my bracelet, I forgot it at the gaming room." Svetlana ordered as she stepped forward.

She was yet to get a maid of her own, she was an angel and goddess knew I'd do anything just to be her personal maid, hell I'd give her my life if she wanted as long as I wouldn't be with Elena anymore.

"Mistress…"

"I know you're bothered about Elena and I can assure you that she's not going to be awake for the next one hour, just get it, I'll be inside to stall her." She offered with a smile and I exhaled deeply.

"Thank you, mistress." I whispered as I walked away.

The gaming room was at the second floor, the alphas frequented the second floor so I was filled with anxiety as I hurried.

Entering the always open room, I gasped as I beheld the sight before me.

There was a snooker table, darts, cards, a mini casino, gaming machines and lots more. The room was so big, goddess knew getting lost was an option.

My eyes darted around to the feminine games and a smile appeared on my lips as a glistening jewel caught my eyes.

I exhaled deeply as I snatched the bracelet, pulling the door open with delight but I was startled when a large figure fell on my shoulders, making me slump back.

I almost fell and after regaining my balance, I froze when I realized Alpha Ryker was resting on my shoulder, his breathing slow.

My hands trembled and the bracelet dropped from my hand, I couldn't utter a word or touch him.

I stood still, sweat wetting my dress. He groaned as he pushed himself back, staggering to the couch which was at the entrance.

"Argh." He grunted as he slumped on the couch, resting his head back.

I picked up the bracelet, too scared to glance at him as I pulled the door open. "Slave, wait." He ordered and I paused, my hand on the knob shaking vigorously.

"Come." His voice was faint and with all the strength in me, I shut the door as I forced my legs to turn around.

I gasped when I saw blood drops on the floor and looking up, my eyes almost widened when I found a dagger in his abdomen, covered in blood.

Only goddess knows what had happened. I covered my mouth with my palms.

"Pull it out." He ordered and my hands trembled as I stared at him with shock.

"Al…"

"Pull it out!" He snarled, baring his fangs and I went numb for a minute. I had never handled anything like this.

"I… I can get the guards, Alpha…" I stammered and he raised his head, his eyes brewing with rage.

"Take a step out of this room and I'll behead you." He ordered and I swallowed the lump that had grown in my throat.

Shutting my eyes tightly and with trembling hands, I placed a finger on the dagger, hoping it would fall off itself.

"Now!" He snapped and with my eyes closed, I wrapped my hand around it, pulling it out as fast as possible.

I feel to the ground, the dagger falling beside me while my hand was coated in blood.

Alpha Ryker gritted his teeth, trying to suppress the pain. He could pass for someone who was in very little pain but I knew he was hurting like crazy.

The door burst open and Elena stood outside, her jaws dropped as she stared at me. "You tried to kill the alpha." She gasped, her eyes wide and I shook my head, my lips unable to move.

"Alpha Ryker… I'll get the guards, she's going to pay for this…" She tried to touch him and he raised a hand up, stopping her.

"Do you think a weakling like this can harm me?" He demanded, making her pause with confusion.

"Wh… You need a doctor, Alpha. You're bleeding, why didn't you call someone, Brielle? What if something dangerous happens to the alpha?" She snapped with concern and he snarled.

"Leave." He ordered, making both of us stunned.

"Al…"

"Now!" She scurried out and I rose up, ready to do the same.

"Tie it up." He instructed as he pulled out a little box from under the chair. It was a first aid box.

With trembling hand, I opened the box, getting cotton wool and spirit. He pulled off his shirt and I didn't dare glance past the wound even though from the little parts around the wound I could tell his body was covered in tattoos.

My hands trembled as I wiped his wound, trying my best for my hands not to brush his skin.

When I was done, he raised both hands and with my head still bowed, I managed to wrap the bandage around his tummy.

I was panting heavily by the time I was done and my jaws dropped when he rose, walking out without sparing me a glance.

I shook my head as I laid on the ground. "Goddess please just kill me."
