Brielle
With the wedding happening this evening, I was excused, which was the one thing I needed.
Happily, I laid in my room, thinking about how my life would be after the wedding, it was going to get worse rather than improve, no doubt.
Would I see more of the alphas now? What about Alpha Ryker? Is he okay now?
I frowned at the thought of him, why was I thinking about him? Why couldn't I think about other relevant things? Why am I thinking about the two men I hated to the core?
Shrugging, I rose from my bed, heading to the garden. The good thing about today was the fact that the wedding wasn't happening anywhere close to me.
Elena had dismissed me rudely, saying I was going to pollute the air while Svetlana had questions, she wanted to know about alpha Ryker.
Humming softly, I walked into the garden, inhaling the fresh air. It was evening already and I stared at the emerging moon, wondering if my life would ever get better.
I was still in the garden when I heard footsteps approaching. I bolted to my feet with fear, turning around and my eyes widened when I found Elena and Lydia staring at me intently.
"Wow… I've always wondered what was so special about you that made the alphas glance at you twice and now I finally know the truth… You're mated to Dylan, a lowly slave like you, is mated to an alpha and you had the guts to run away, how bold." Elena snarled and I swallowed, bowing my head as my heart thumped heavily.
"How have you been doing, Brielle? Have you enjoyed your stay here? Did you think Dylan was going to give up on you?" Lydia demanded with a snicker and I took a step back.
"Why? What have I done to you to deserve this? Why can't he let me go?" My voice was shaky as I asked and she smiled.
"Because he wants to make a fortune out of you… He wants to sell you off, if you had stayed still, this wouldn't be happening and you'd still be Luna, do you think you're going to live a better life anywhere? It's time to return to where you belong, Brielle." She replied and I opened my mouth to scream but a guard walked over, draping a towel over my face.
I collapsed into his arms, I went numb, my eyes were open, I parted my lips, trying to scream or say anything but words failed me, nothing left my mouth.
I was thrown on the guard's shoulder and I tried to move my arms, wishing I could protest to alert the maids but I was just too weak and all I could do was watch as I was placed in the car and taken out of the pack.
"I have her." Lydia announced over the phone with a smile. She turned to me, grabbing my cheeks roughly as she grinned.
"You're finally home, Dylan misses you so much, don't you miss your mate?" She taunted.
Only the goddess knew how long the journey lasted. Arriving at the pack house, Dylan was standing outside, smiling brightly as he walked over to the car.
He ignored everyone as he pulled me out of the car gently. He carried me in his arms as he headed to the room.
To my shock, he didn't take me to my room, rather he kept walking further into the house. He entered his room and opened a small door in the wall, leaving me stunned.
It felt like a secret compartment and he placed me on a small bed, handcuffing my hands to the bed.
"Welcome back, Brielle and this time around, you'll stay with me." He whispered as he placed a kiss on my cheeks.
I couldn't blink or do anything as I watched a doctor walk inside.
"She looks skinny and we can only draw out little blood for now but when she's eaten and rested properly, we can commence fully." The doctor explained to Dylan whose eyes were filled with greed.
Only the goddess knows what was going on but it was bad, the vile look in his eyes was nothing short of evil.
"Draw what you can now, I do not want to face any delays, I'll have the maids feed her when you're done…"
"But… Can't that be done after her meal? She's extremely weak and…"
"Draw the fucking blood now! For weeks I've been short of supply, they're on my fucking next and they're willing to pay a fortune, I don't give a fuck about what happens to her!" He replied cruelly as he grabbed the doctor's collar, eyes filled with rage, hunger and greed.
Only the goddess knew what he was talking about but I was just too weak to process everything, I couldn't understand what he meant and all I wanted was to be away from him as soon as possible.
It all felt wrong, something in my gut made me scared of this place.
"Alpha… There's danger… the alphas… They're coming." A guard yelled as he walked inside and Dylan's eyes dilated with shock.
"What the hell! Do everything you can to stop him! They must never be allowed to take her! Stop them!" He thundered at the guard who dashed out.
"Draw as many bags of blood as possible! I don't give a fuck about what happens to her! Do not get…" He was still speaking when a great kick sent the door crashing as wood flew around.
I was filled with astonishment when both alphas walked inside, snarling and growling, both in their enormous wolf forms, away from their wedding.
