Vael's POV
The fifth morning of our honeymoon started with the soft sound of waves outside the villa. I woke before the others and stood by the open balcony door for a few minutes, breathing in the salt air. Behind me, Davis and Lirien still slept under the light sheets. These days had been good for all of us. The constant noise of home felt far away, yet the pull of the babies never fully left.
We called home after breakfast, the same way we had every morning. Sara answered, and turned the camera so we could see the triplets.
"Good morning," Sara said with a smile. "Someone has been waiting for your faces."
Dasien was trying to crawl toward a toy on the floor. Valiera kept reaching for the phone with both hands, making small happy sounds. Lirael watched everything with wide, calm eyes from Sara's lap.
Lirien leaned closer to the screen, his voice soft and warm. "My sweet ones… Papas miss you. We'll be back soon, okay? Be good for Grandma."
