Chapter 94 - Justice

Davis's POV

The night air felt cold against my skin as Vael and I drove toward the old warehouse on the edge of the city. My hands gripped the steering wheel tightly. Inside my chest, two feelings were fighting each other, hot anger and the calm promise we had made to Lirien. He had asked us not to kill anyone. He didn't want more blood on our hands because of him. We had promised him we would respect his wish. But that didn't mean Ronan would walk away without paying for what he did.

Vael sat beside me, completely quiet. His jaw was locked tight, and his hands rested on his knees in fists. I knew exactly what he was thinking. The same thing I was. This man had shot our mate. He had put a bullet in Lirien's chest while he was carrying our babies. He had almost taken everything from us in one single moment.
